Guys what can you say about this car

1981 Mercedes Benz 300SD turbo diesel

I just paid one today for 250T and the torque was awsome for a 23 year old car.

Does anyone here own such a BEAST? share me some tips and tricks on how to maintain it.

It would be nice also if you could share your experience regarding this model.

Does anyone here have a USERS MANUAL that I can copy from or even a CD of this model.

I think i'm going to enjoy this car.

Hello. We also have a 1981 300SD. What version is yours? Ours is a U.S. model with California Emissions (makes less power than the standard W126).

We have the U.S. owner's manual. The international manual is better, though. I think CATS can still get you ca copy of it. We got the W124 manual from CATS back then.

First tip: The hood and trunklid are made of aluminum. Take care not to damage them as they need special tools and welding tech to repair.

CONGRATS!!! Yup, the SD series is really torquey. In fact, if you floor the pedal while cruising, you risk snapping your neck bcoz of the efficient torque distribution hehehe!!!

For PMS, I see a lot of MB's being maintained (PMS only though) at BASICS in Libis.

I can also recommend ERL MOTORWERX c/o Ernie Lorenzo (09168263669). A lot of bimmer and MB owners have their cars serviced there. They have a complete line of diagnostic tools there!

Buong sasakyan na ata ang kailangan i-detail. hehehehe. Hindi naman kasi nagagamit masyado.

Uuwi ako bukas ng Bulacan. I will take pics of my W123. Yun ang kailangan ng detail. May agiw at molds na daw. hehehe.

HBOY sa Friday pa ako maka pag post kasi yun 126 nasa aircon shop maingay kasi compressor.

Dami ko pinalitan hehehehhehe.

Lahat ng pangilalim na suspension pinalitan ko ng bago bwahahahahhaha sana lumabas yun tunay na ride ng auto.

Nag palit din ako ng bagong brake rotor at pads sa harap for safety.

Sa sabado naka schedule siya for some minor detailing.

I'm planning to put some biodiesel para malinis yun fuel lines nya. effective ba talaga ito? yun supplier nag padala ng 2 liter free sample kasi hehehehe.

Claim daw nila will improve mileage at engine power.

Walang rear headrest yung sa amin. Later models ata yun at yung mga models with bigger engines. Dalawa lang nga ang seatbelt sa likod. Pero ang lapad ng upuan.

i have an 87 300D W124. 'm 25 and i luv my car. its fun to drive and luv kong ihataw sa highway kc supra responsive... sana nga ung turbo binili ng dad ko for me.. pero ok na yun. i wud luv an SD kaya lang its too big... but i like the engine. matibay compare sa W124.
