I'm in the market for W123 or W124.
Automatic on Gasoline Engine.
Which one is better?
How much is the on going rate for a unit that is running in very good condition?
If anyone wan't to make an offer let me know.Last edited by rebel; April 2nd, 2004 at 12:03 PM.

do you have money for maintenance and parts?.. if so go for the w124... the reason why i asked this is parts for the w124 is still quite expensive as compared to a w123.
However if you like the classic MB.. w123 is the one. Already given the classic status in MB germany, and parts are widely available here in the Philippines and prices are quite cheap already.
w123 sedan gasoline, A/T - great condition? nothing to fix? 230K-280K
w124 sedan gasoline, A/T - great condition? nothing to fix? about 450K
prices are subject to change without prior notice..ahihihi...:D

I'll start with a 123 first since you said that prices on parts are cheap.

nope.. i dont sell cars.. ehehe. how i wish i had cars to sell in the first place... ehheeh
i'll ask around na rin kung meron mga umaaligid dyan na binebenta...
pag sineswerte.. minsan may makukuha na mura lang.. 180K.. ehehhe...meron akong kilala na swerte sa ganyan... laging nakakahanap ng mura...
though it would really be hard to find a nothing to fix w123... simply because if it doesnt have any problems, most owners tend not to sell it.Last edited by HBOY; April 2nd, 2004 at 04:27 PM.

Worlds apart ang W123 at W124. Yung W123 medyo old school pa ang design and construction niyan unlike the W124 which is quite modern already (even by today's standard).
Mahirap na makahanap ng 'nothing to fix' for both models considering how old they are already.
Even our W124 needs a new a/c clutch and some other items. Yung W123 namin hindi umaandar at the moment.
If you like working on cars, the W123 are better as they have simpler construction and equipment.

Old school benzers will tell you that the 123 rocks. But if i were to choose, i'd take the 124.

Would also advise the 124. You can find surplus parts if the original parts are expensive for you.
Looking for a 1994 E260 and up also. But if there's a good buy for a 210, might get that.
