    Heart plays Led Zeppelin’s Stairway To Heaven, makes Robert Plant cry (video)



    Heart - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center Honors - YouTube

    There have been some mighty horrible renditions of Led Zeppelin‘s Stairway To Heaven, but when Nancy and Ann Wilson of Heart performed the song in front of the three remaining members of the legendary British rock band at the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony on Dec. 2, it made Robert Plant cry tears of joy.

    (The band was being honoured by President Barack Obama alongside David Letterman and Dustin Hoffman.)

    Watch it and understand why. When the choir kicks in and Ann Wilson wails Plant’s famous “And as we wind on down the road…” you might shed a tear or two yourself.

    After reading this article, I can imagine the emotions Robert Plant must have been feeling. I salute them for their contribution to the music industry and the rock world and tip my hat off to the lovely Wilson sisters for their awesome performance.

    what a performance!!! it shivers to the bones. i have been an avid fan of the led zep having been born in the 60's. they were one of the best bands then along with the who, bad company, fleetwood mac and the beatles, of course. english rock bands are famous in the 60's and 70's.

    yung guitarista kong tropa na metal, pang ensayo niya yung "alone".
    yung magkapatid na wilson may-ari ng Bad Animal Studios. doon nag studio yung mga seattle grunge bands noong heydays ng grunge.
    may napanood ako na documentary nag surprise jam ang Red Hot Chilli sa studio nila nung guitarista pa nila si Dave Navarro. naki jam din yung mag sisters na wilson habang nanonood yung gang ng Jane's Addiction. andun kasi sila Perry Farrel at Stephen Perkins.
    naging bassist nila si Mike Inez ng peborit kong grunge band na Alice in Chains.
    lufet!

    tell me when they do Led Zeps "Black Dog" and Black Sabbaths "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". mindblowing yun!
