How would you rate the films in 2008 Manila Film Festival?

My brothers and sisters pretty much hated every entry they watched and even walked out within the first 30 minutes of some of the movies. The quality of the movies have dropped to a new low, based on their comments.

I guess I did the right thing and didn't spend a single peso to watch garbage in the cinemas.

What is your comment?

I am very picky with the films that I watch in cinemas because the tickets are so expensive! I never go to the cinemas during the Manila Film Festival. I'd rather go to Cine Manila and Pelicula Pelikula where the films are better and the tickets are cheaper.

i havent watched a local film in the cinemas for more than 10 years i guess. huli kong panood is yung kay dolphy pa, ung abrakadabra ata un with my parents.

I base my reviews of movies off of how well the story, acting, direction, and visuals are. Movies tells stories and I would have to say story and acting help achieve that more than anything.
All that and dialogue are very important (sorry no TAGLISH). Chemistry between actors' and actress. Are actors and actress convincing? Does it rely too much on special effects? The score is also important, but sad to say that we dont have a REAL MOVIE judge/rate also known as movie critics.
