I just got a copy of Top Gear Philippines (bought it from Bufini) this morning. Priced only at P125.

BTW, napansin ko lang na hindi ganun kaganda yung quality ng paper sa august issue ng C!.

i noticed that also. manipis yun paper. maybe due to rising cost of printing material. ok na rin para ma maintain yun price ng magazine.

hmmmm.......Parang C! din in a way pero they injected UK articles. Writers sila Uly and Jason Ang dun.

Comparing it with C! magazine, well i cant tell it now. Siguro after 5 issues pwede na. Lay-out of Top Gear PH is similar to the UK mag.

i dunno... perhaps you're just overreading things...?

personally, i would pick the Civic in the compact class, the Accord in the mid-size class (along with the 6), and the City in the subcompact class. but i wouldn't say i have an overt bias for Honda; it's just that Honda makes darn good vehicles! hehe :D

just making sure, i don't have any links to motioncars ok hehehehe

hmm maraming articles galing sa motioncars Angs.. so its like reading motioncars website on paper..

there are some interesting sections such as used cars feature, reader's q & a .. etc

parang nakakalito lang ng konti kasi halo halo impt at local articles...

marami pang pwedeng i-improve.. more pics per car feature would be one..

i havent really read any article puro titles lang so ewan ko lang kung paano yung mga ibang reviews... sana naman hindi puro kwento (background info/history etc etc) tapos isa o dalawang sentence ang actual review.. or doing a comparo with every car winning...or having an undecided verdict ehehehe

IMO nothing could possibly be worse than C! Typos , inconclusive articles, incomplete info stupid editors and editorials (imagine yung aussie ranting about turning headlights off in traffic, duh?!) etc etc etc.

Matagal na na sakit nang C! ang typos, what are their editors doing ? Kulang yata sa English skills yung mga yun... Tapos I agree nga na kulang sa info ang articles and kulang ng real honest to goodness evaluations and comparos. Lagi pang late ilabas.

But I think its still the best local car magazine, if only Car and Driver, Road and Track, and Motortrend arent overpriced, I think C! would have a tough job just to survive against those.

Buti nga pumasok na ang Topgear RP, this should wake up those C! editors.

Yup, there are a lot of typos. Buti nga ngayon nakalagay na yung Mazda sa car chart nila.

well, among the local automotive mags out here, C! is really a big improvement. whereas the other magazines would only give you a reprint of its brochures, C! actually has some test drives to boot.

although, I've noticed lately that they are starting to "slack" a bit with their inconclusive (as PK pointed out) articles and ratings. unlike the first issues wherein they have have the balls to rank the vehicles. some of the articles are a bit too SHORT for comparison purposes. although you have to give them credit for some really good articles (e.g. 360 vs. GT3, Pagani Zonda, Opel Speedster, etc).

and yes, kulang pa rin sila sa technical evaluation. autocar is still a bit above them.

but, I'll still wary of Top Gear, especially if it is a cut and paste from motioncars.

mbt, yes Honda does make good vehicles but that doesn't mean that they are "perfect". I have yet to see them critique Honda as they would the other vehicles.

Unlike C!, Top Gear Philippines actually recognizes Tsikot.com as an entity.

The opinions of tsikoteers (as well as those from our allied websites) were taken into account by Summit publication during the planning stages of the magazine.

I'll try and see if we can get some Tsikoteers to write for TGP.
