oo nga, those foreign artists will only visit only once in a lifetime (unless if the foreign artist is very much in demand, they will come back.)

yung mga locals, in demand naman sila, sa abroad.

If people want them... what can you do?

Declare a month, a la "Metro Manila Film Festival" where you can't hold concerts if you're not a Filipino Citizen?

People will watch local concerts if there's an act worth watching. I've spent my money on more local concerts than foreign ones (in fact, I've only watched three foreign acts in concert, while I've watched numerous concerts and attended countless gigs by local bands)... but I don't like being told what I can and can't watch.

It sucks for them, but you'll only sell tickets if people want to watch you.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Stupid solution to a simple problem.

Want to grab audiences more than international artists? Be better entertainers than them.

Can't beat them in their own game? Too bad for you. Work on your strengths then. There are a lot more pressing issues for lawmakers than the grievances of a couple of aging artists that are complaining that they don't earn as much as they use to.

Like those stupid buses and moronic policemen.

Nobody cares about our local artists here

Can you guys make a guess where Charice "bubblehead" Pempengco is making a name? Oh, that's right, in a foreign soil.

add ko lang sa sinabi mo robot.sonic: the reason why local artist singing lots of foreign songs as cover is because it is cheaper to purchase (when it comes to permission to the original composers) than local songs. but it is sick listening to those local artists who wants to be like foreign counterparts.

Foreign artists drain our dollar reserves.

1996 - Michael Jackson's concert in the Philippines.

    1997 - Asian financial crisis.

    I rest my case.
