Shocked to see in the news that 36 year old (!) Ely Buendia suffered a heart attack the other night while performing at a gig. He is scheduled to be out of the ICU by tomorrow.

Ganito na ba ka grabe ang ating lifestyle ngayon? Heart attacks occuring in the 30 something group already! . As far as the people who know Ely, they're not aware of any heart problems that may have afflicted the band singer.

Makes me have second thoughts of gobbling down that burger or gulping down a mug of beer

and even if you "look" healthy doesn't mean you are. Napanood ko sya sa show nina Jaya at Alan K. yesterday night and he looks healthy.

    Kailangan talaga regular check-up nowadays...

it's true that heart attack can happen to anybody regardless of age and body built. A lot of people say that if you are fat/healthy looking, you are a candidate to have a heart attack, but nowadays, even the not so healthy looking ones can suffer from this.

at least two family friends have suffered heart attack whose age is not more than 30.

anyway, back to Ely Buendia, hope he recover soon.

it's lifestyle, not age ---- fast food, late nights, hard work/job stress, alcohol, smoking, lack of exercise --- even a 20something year old cardio-vascular system will get damaged.

Only until a man can readily face the hardships of society can he conquer stress. Imagine the domino effect it inflicts to one's well-being. Unfortunately, by the way trends in the industry and society goes nowadays, I wonder.

Stress is part of life. It's how u handle it.

If ur in ur mid to late 20's and u are are under chronic stress, and if ur lifestyle isnt exactly healthy, by the time u reach ur late 30's or early 40's, u will develop a medical condition. Most likely it will be cardio-vascular or metabolic related (like insulin resistance).
