MANILA, Philippines – Kim Atienza, “Matanglawin” host and “TV Patrol’s” resident weatherman, was rushed to a hospital Wednesday morning due to mild stroke.
Atienza’s wife, Fely, said he is confined at the Makati Medical Center.
She said Atienza, popularly known as Kuya Kim, is conscious and can move.
Fely added that he will undergo a series of tests including MRI and CT scan. He will be under observation in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The family of Kuya Kim is asking for prayers for his speedy recovery
Atienza, son of former environment secretary Lito Atienza, is the eldest of 2 boys. Being a health buff, he taught aerobics and weightlifting on TV before he went to sports casting.
