... what are those advantage and dis-advantages for mazda...

by the way what is better for car decals?
paint, airbrush or stickers???
if stickers what are those best quality stickers available in the market..
and saan maganda mag pa costumized ng paint job

I've reposted my previous comments here found in other mazda 3 thread.

1. Nagtaas ang Mazda ng tig 30k sa Mazda 3 dahil siguro maganda pa ang benta nila. Pero kahit nagtaas sila mas mababa pa rin unit price nila compared sa Honda. Kasi sa Honda walang big discount kang makukuha. Sa Mazda, depende sa haggle skills mo at sa dealer, makakakuha ka ng malaking discount. Plus mas marami ka pang features na makukuha sa Mazda 3 compared sa Honda civic.

Yung nga lang based sa conservative estimates ko mga around 14,000 petot ang matitipid mo a year using the current Civic(assuming 60 km per day ang travel mo at 30 pesos/liter 365 days at assuming lamang ng 2 km/liter ang Civic)

IMHO, kung ikaw yung tipo na every 3 years change to new car
ka lagi, OK lang na Mazda 3 pa rin gamitin mo. Pero kung mag-iistay sa yo ng 10 years(o kaya baguio <-> manila travel mo, hehehe), ang laki ng matitipid mo using a Honda, or Toyota car

Ako kasi balak ko if possible after 3 years palitan ko ng bagong unit para iwas maintenance problem(tapos na kasi warranty period). Pero hintayin ko muna 2010 Mazda 3 or 2011/2012 Honda Civic, hehehe.

2. Aware ako na hindi talaga gaano ka fuel efficient ang mazda 3 bago ako nakabili. Before iniisnab ko nga lang mga lumang mazda 3 with red tail lights. Pero nung naging black ang tail lights nila, bigla akong na in-love sa looks plus yung additinal features nya na wala sa ibang car of the same price bracket. According to numerous car reviewers, para ka na rin daw nakapag drive ng BMW pag may mazda 3 ka(though i've never driven a BMW). Type na type ko rin interior looks parang mala BMW din ang dating sa amber instrument panel lightning nya. And in fairness, hindi naman pinakahuli ang mazda 3 in terms of fuel efficiency. Maybe sa gitna lang siya.

3. Value for money ika nga advantage ng Mazda 3, deceiving kasi SRP nila. Kung makakatawad ka naman ng malaki kahit through car loans, dapat sana adjust na nila pababa price nila. Feeling ko rin noon mahal ang mga mazda 3 parang ka level ng mga audi, bmw sa price. Mantakin mo yun, yung pinaka low end na mazda 3 with activematic transmission, 6 cd changer, steering wheel audio controls e halos kasing price range nya lang second to the highest na high end ng vios.

Sa US nga talo lagi ang Civic sa Mazda 3 sa mga reviews dahil in terms of features, lamang na lamang ang 3 pag kinompare sa same price bracket na Civic.

Summary ng comments ko:

Kung hanap mo value for money car(more feautures for the same amount of money) + sportier exterior looks and zoom zoom drive experience, mazda 3 ka na.

Kung hanap mo fuel efficient car at malakas humatak+ futuristic interiors, Honda civic ka na.

bro!! thanks!! un enlighten my mind when it comes to this part. sad to say but is really hard to decide who what & where to buy this car. well hopefully bro, if my computation for my salary till next year ill would be glad to purchase mazda 3 but if its right for a brand new to do some modifications like paints, WRC decals & some accessories specially audio and lcd to be install? and what I know about the moonroof they only available for sedan. sad to say pero ipatatabas ko ata sa banaue yun pag nagkataon right? bad ba yun? and san ko pwedeng e-avail lahat ng mga needs kong eto pra sa auto ko? gagayahin ko ung avatar ko eh. mcrae australian wrc asia pacific showroom champion. mazda of course!!!

Welcome bro! try to join clubmazda3, marami kang matututunan dun sa pag modify mo ng mazda 3 kasi usually pang mazda 3 topics ng mga threads dun. Sa field ng car modification, wala me alam.

If your just going to modify(hopefully you don't make it look ricey) the Mazda 3 all out like in your avatar, why not just get a 2nd hand unit? You save a lot of money and more money can be spend on Proper mods.

Ang pagkakaalam ko nagkaroon ng major change mazda 3 simula 2007, about 100 improvements ang na-introduced for 2007 model, so yung 2007 and up, malaking improvement na yung makikita mo sa M3, isa na dito yung SVT/VVT engine na nagcontribute sa FC improvment ng M3, black tail lights na rin mga m3 simula 2007. So in short, old models ng m3 is from 2004 -> 2006, while newer models started from 2007 up to present.

Regarding AVP gps, first time ko lang narinig to. Anyway, hintay na lang tayo sa ibang tsikot members na magcomment dito sa thread, or search mo na lang sa tsikot or clubmazda3 kung may existing na thread for AVP gps, or worst create ka na lang ng new thread for AVP gps.

your choice comparison would only be the civics and the corollas. they are on top of the food chain, u can also try the subaru impreza, if your talking about economy cars.
civic and corollas are known for reliability and gas mileage, they are just fuel economic cars. the vtec engines on the civics are very solid, do your research.

mazda's advantage in my opinion is that they got more HP than corollas and civics, thus more fun to drive and upgraded interiors. hauls gas more though.

if i were you, i will get the subaru impreza, 170 HP, its more than the corollas and civics, i think they only have 120HP more or less. and Imprezas are all wheel drive, more grip on the road on rainy days, more fun to drive to.

and if u have enough money, go with the wrx or legacy gt. i tell you, they are super fun and fast esp the newer models. you can smoke the civics and corollas.

if you really want mazda's, get the mazdaspeed3, they are top of the line mazda3, which has 2.3L turbo, very fast, but im not sure if they are available in the phils.

What i have is the 1.6S version and im pretty satisfied except the fact that the FC s*cks on traffic but will give you a good mileage on highway driving, especially if you will do the hypermile thingy. (60-80kph).


AFAIK, they have promos like side skirt and lip type spoiler on the S version but not sure with the V variant. Then a low DP.

Usually, they give out free 1K Kms (2 weeks) and 10K Kms(6 months) free service maintenance.

Actually, Mazda 3s in the Philippines have HP/TQ figures almost equal to the current gen Corolla, and less than the current gen Civic, comparing the lowest engine displacements among them and the highest.

Mazda3s here only have the 1.6L and the 2.0L engine option, whereas in other countries, I believe the 2.0L engine is the base, with the option to upgrade to 2.5L.

The base Imprezas sold in the country have only 155HP (2.0L engine), not the 2.5L sold in others. Next step above WRX (~200+hp) costing an arm and a leg way above the other econoboxes. AWD and the overall Subaru drive is great though.

No MS3 here in the country.

Sad to say that, until Mazda philippines releases the new Mazda3, you're basically competing with the other econoboxes with an aging (but still decent) design and price as the USP. Other compacts have caught up and/or surpassed the current 3 in terms of exterior/interior, fuel economy, power, transmission and handing.

Going in to buy a new car with already a 'target' on mind might blind you. What would be better is to create an excel file and compare each and every car you see. Maybe list down the things important to you. e.g. Handling, FC, interior, service, etc.. Itll help you make an informed decision.

Anyway, M3 is very good with regards to handling, the interiors, total price, and looks. And also, once you learned how to drive using the activematic, life will never be the same again :p

The much maligned FC is over-empasized. Its not that bad really. Im getting 9.5-10kms/liter. This is in-line with the other sedans of this class.

I;m getting 9.6km/liter city and up to 12+km/liter H-way on my 2.3L engine MZ5 and its a van. Its got the same platform and engine as a NA MZ3
