Just bought a pair of Delica Headlights.

iyon lang nga, with a good lo HID, maybe you will not need the Hi.

    merl26,
thanks for the compliments. tagal ko na rin kasi balak noon mag convert to HID with projector lens kaya lang ang mahal ng HID kits. pero ngayon mura na siya, you can try the classifieds here , meron na for 3k. But would suggect you put it on a projector lens kasi pag dun sa reflector type na HL ay sobra ang glare.
BTW i've used yellow halogen bulb before but replaced to osram all weather kasi may tendency na mag crack o matunaw yung clear plastic cover dahil sa init.

    sir,
yun rin napansin ko sa buga ng HID at saka yung cut-off ay hindi pa sharp. kaya modify ko uli yung cut off nya.
Hindi ko pa na-try yung Hi halogen. Pero purpose ko lang dito is for flashing.
I've tried putting in additional halogen lamp kit for the Hi function kaya lang hindi na kasya sa loob ng HL at hindi proportion yung placement.

    Update on the HL HID,
OK na yung cut off kaya lang di ko na-picture-an. also changed the blue led into blue CFL and painted the reflector flat black.
kailangan ko na lang i-sand off yung plastic lens to make it clear.

Actually, hindi po sa akin yan. that pic was posted in MPVclub forum as one member noticed this post ( floor mount stick shift ) as against the usual AT steering mount stick shift.

The picture originated here in the Philippines kaya malamang na dito ginawa yung conversion.

up this thread with a DIY

Share ko lang po. DIY installation of LED strip sa gauge panel ng MPV.

Na-try ko na replacing the bulb with T10 LED to white, to blue , to green pero mahina pa rin. Kaya ito naman try ko. Posting pics for those who also want to try.

bought this from ebay - 5M LED strip.

Now, the gauge panel to dismantle.

removing the cover. but first, I had to remove the two top screws.

then disconnect the plug of the fog lamp switch

after removing the front cover, the gauge panel fastening screws are exposed.

With 4 screws removed, then the speedo cable was detached.

With the speedo cable detached, the gauge panel can pulled a bit to disconnect the 3 connectors

center connector disconnected as shown below

once all the connectors are pulled out from the back socket, the gauge panel can now be taken out.

clear panel removed. using flat screw driver, the plastic clip/lock were unlatched.

gauges removed. the gauges are secured by screws at the back.

installing the LED strip, here you can still see the T10 LEDs but this were removed later on.

ito naman center console ang i-DIY ko including the bulb on the the hazard switch.

Pasensya na po at hindi ko lahat nakunan kung paano ko ginawa.

    center console to dismantle

glove compartment was removed to access the 4 fastening screws of the bottom panel

A total of 6 screws holds this part.

to pull out the top panel, the 2 DIN stereo needs to be removed since it is using 2 common screws

    2DIN stereo removed

    top panel pulled out.

all connectors must be unpluged (including the hazard switch) to completely take out the top panel

testing the replacement LED strip for the rear AC control

next to replace was the illumination for the front AC control. the front fascia was removed to install the LED strip.

this time i forgot to take pictures, including the DIY for the hazard switch. but here is the completed work.

    *rhy_84, welcome to tsikot.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Mazda MPV is fast despite its size! Just this morning I travelled to Batangas via Star toll way. Drove at top speed of 180KPH with engine rev at 4,250 rpm. How's that for a 15 year old MPV.

Brand new spare parts are available in Banawe like Autorama, Fordland, and Mazford. For surplus parts, you can go to ALAS auto parts (also in Banawe). Or if you are in Aurora blvd. Cubao you can go to Mateo auto supply.
