If it's just carbon on the valves, they're expected to be serviced. Blasting won't take a day.

The problem is how much would that cost? Because in the US, it would cost as much as $700 according to some youtube videos. And where can we avail of such services here? Wala pa rin awareness ang mga tao dito sa issue with DI.

Its supposed to be free if it's under Yojin. Yeah it's an issue with DI... I think those aftermarket spray those carbon deposits are effective if used regularly...

It's approached as a symptom-solving service, sir, not part of your regular maintenance. Mazda's SkyactivG seems to be holding up against early buildup well. Our workplace has a '13 petrol CX5 daily that hasn't had any trouble to date. Can't conclude the same w/ the more soot-inducing diesel. Usage, route, traffic conditions, maintenance are factors in play.

Should be routine. Pag may nalaglag na carbon chunk galing sa intake valve at nag detonate, malaking problema yan. Pwede naman siguro silipin gamit ang borescope, just to see if its dirty.

    Hi guys,

Just need an opinion will buy CX5 2013 model next week. Is it still worth it? I need advice as my knowledge about the year and unit is minimal.

    Thanks!
