ROXAS BLVD TO FAIRVIEW Route w/ least traffic at 5PM

Hi! Every 5PM, I go home from work coming from Roxas Boulevard (near Diamond Hotel) to Fairview. So far, the best driving route I found is this:

1. Take Roxas Blvd to Kalaw then turn right
2. Go straight down Kalaw until Jollibee (Ma. Orosa) then turn left
3. Go straight down M.Orosa and turn right going to Finance St.
4. Go straight ahead Finance St. crossing Taft Avenue to Ayala Bridge
5. Go straight ahead taking P.Casal and Legarda then turn left at CM Recto
6. Go straight down CM Recto to N.Reyes (Morayta) then turn right
7. Go straight down Morayta until you reach Espana
8. Go straight down Espana road until Welcome Rotonda
9. From Welcome Rotonda, take Quezon Avenue until you reach Quezon Circle
10. Proceed around Quezon Circle and take the Philcoa Exit to Commonwealth
11. Follow your nose down Commonwealth until you reach Fairview.

Ang problema nitong route is from 7-10, sobrang trapik at kung umuulan, maraming places na pede mag baha...baka naman meron sa inyo may alam na alternate routes sa part na to, paki share naman po, for the benefit of everyone na rin.. Thanks!

Upon reaching the Legarda and Recto junction, you may proceed to Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. up to SM Centerpoint, left turn at Araneta Ave. straight till you reach the Araneta Ave. and Quezon Ave. intersection, make a right then straight to the elipitical circle.

Legarda to Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. cor V mapa is okay, the traffic would start from V. Mapa to the corner of Araneta Ave., but the traffic is moderately moving, caused by the jeepneys and G. Liner loading and unloading at the SM Centerpoint.

2. pag dating mo sa quirino highway turn left going to nagtahan bridge.
3. after nagtahan brigde turn right sa ilalim ng fly over going to magsasay blvd.

avoid recto/legarda dahil school days na.

Yup okay din ito, the only problem here is the piling of cars along the otis road going to the stoplight turning left towards Nagtahan.

ALTERNATE ROUTE #1 (Updated June 17 2009)

1. From Roxas Blvd. take UN Ave-Otis route to Quirino Highway
2. Pag dating mo sa Quirino Highway turn left going to Nagtahan Bridge.
3. After Nagtahan Brigde turn right sa ilalim ng fly over going to Magsaysay Blvd.
4. Proceed along Ramon Magsaysay Blvd. up to SM Centerpoint
5. Turn left at Araneta Ave. straight till you reach the Araneta Ave. and Quezon Ave. intersection
6. From there, take Quezon Avenue until you reach Quezon Circle
7. Proceed around Quezon Circle and take the Philcoa Exit to Commonwealth
8. Follow your nose down Commonwealth until you reach Fairview.

I've been looking at the Google Maps and it looks like another route could be taken along #5.. Instead of going straight to Quezon Ave. intersection, mukhang pwede yata mag take ng side road starting sa Kaliraya St. all the way to Scout Albano & Quezon Ave. intersection. Sana po may nakaka alam jan kung ano yung magandang route sa area na to (considering road and traffic conditions)..

No left turn from Ramon Magsaysay to Santol (yung dating Discovery), you have to turn right sa may Stop & shop, then turn left immediately sa kanto sa tapat ng mercury drug/fernandos supermarket, then cross R. Magsaysay going to santol. Exit mo nito yung kalye katapat ng Banawe St. Magandang alternate route pag baha sa araneta ave (aurora blvd side.)
