Road Trip To Mindanao

Greetings to everyone!!

I am a new member here and I am very honored to be apart of this community. Very helpful and knowledgeable ang mga members dito. Thanks to everyone.

I would like to ask for your expertise and help in getting to mindanao. I have a few questions to all of you.

What is the best way to mindanao and what road conditions to look out for on the way there? I heard Samar has some bad roads? Any diversion to avoid this or different RORO from Matnog lets say to Leyte instead of Samar?

I dont want to drive at night so can you please give any suggestions on where to stay overnight. I will be coming from Q.C. leaving 4am in the morning. Im thinking travel time will be 12 hours to Matnog but want to stay the night before heading to the RoRo pier. Any Suggestions?

What tourist spots is a must see while im driving through our beautiful country? what incredible things must I see and be amazed of?

Last but not least I am new here in the Philippines about 2 years now and would like to get the best directions to get to the southern part of Luzon and through samar and leyte. I heard there is a shortcut Bituka ng Manok. Is it worth it to go there and how much travel time will it save me? Whats the best way to get there? Please Please post. Up ko lang to because I have the same dilemma. Baka magwork kasi ako sa davao for at least 6 months. mamimis ko kasi sobra ang oto ko kaya balak ko dalin dun. sana may makapagbigay ng tips dito para maging hassle free. manggagaling din ako ng manila.

mga magkano magagastos tsaka gano katagal ang trip? TIA!

the roads in samar as of last may was a whole lot better that it was 2 years ago when when travelled to mindanao.travel time from Allen to tacloban should be less than 3 hours..

tourist spots would include mt mayon, ang bitoka ng manok should save you up to 30mins i think. depending on how fast you can drive up the road, and if you are not following a slow moving car.. if you do travel at night i suggest dont take the shortcut.

sometime december pa kami road trip ulit punta mindanao.. hopefully the roads will still be good.. sa quirino highway pala there are still some parts that is under repair..

greetings!!! sir ask ko lang sana if ever na natuloy na ang road trip nyo sa mindanao....i also planned to make one next month...my experience was only up to catarman samar, and going to mindanao its a different way from allen, can you share some experience regarding your trip...which way you took and which part has bad roads and areas where extra care should be taken, im just a new member here so just read your thread.....thanks!!!!!
