We are planning to do a North Luzon loop. Kakayanin ba ng 3 days (not counting the jumpoff the night before)? I enjoy long drives - meron naman ako 2 friends kapalitan if ever.

    Here are my proposed routes:

    Manila - Pagudpud - Tuguegarao - Santiago City - Cabanatuan - Manila
    Manila - Pagudpud - Tuguegarao - Sagada - Baguio - Manila

What route would be the most scenic?
In those routes, what should I watch for?
Vehicle is only at 1000kms so am not expecting a breakdown (knock on wood!), but what tools should I bring if ever?

    Thanks

Tools i can think of e spare tire na capable of travelling the same distance, light source, change tire tools, jumper cable, duct tape, cash, power bank.

Plenty of water and an axe. :-) and , of course, a navigation software, such as oactek navigation software.

Status is tentative as LTO is very fast in its processing of the OR/CR

Bitin yata yung three days with at least one day sana sa Pagudpud.

    Proposed itinerary ko papunta:

Manila to San Fernando, La Union
    Around 300KMs. Estimated 4hrs
    Activity: refuel, rest stop

    SF La Union to Vigan
    Around 150KMs. Estimated 2hrs
    Activity: breakfast, city tour

    Vigan to Laoag
    Around 90KMs. Estimated 1.5hrs
    Activity: refuel, rest stop

    Laoag to Pagudpud
    Around 100KMs. Estimated 2hrs

Marami road works sa vizcaya part. Kaya make sure to bring a lot of patience. Most scenic would be banaue, side trip sa sagada, tabuk, tuguegarao, appari, pagudpud, vigan.

There is nothing special on the part of vizcaya isabela.

Then Paoay Lake & Sand Dunes before proceeding to Laoag proper.

smooth sailing lang laoag to pagudpud. kaya sa less than 1.5 hrs.

Ten years ago, haha, ang tanda ko na pala, Have tried the manila-ilocos-tugegarao-viscaya route before, that's 4 days during the holy week. We stopped at every scenic and old churches. So memorable. The following year naman, nag commute na kami for the Manila Solano Banawe/Batad Bondoc Sagada baguio route, road conditions are severe pa during that time, scenes are awesome, lalo na dun sa highest highway in the country, unforgettable.

Natuloy ako with friends, kaso until Pagudpud lang, we returned via Ilocos pa rin.

This time, pabalik na sana via Sagada. Dunno what route to use, side trip sana via Aparri. How many days would it take from Pagudpud - Sagada - Baguio - Manila?

so this is a brand new vehicle? if yes, do first a proper engine break-in (if specified on the users manual) before doing this long drives...

so we did this after three years, on a Prado 4.0 gas

two days at Palaui island, first half of the loop was via Nueva Ecija/Vizcaya, Isabela, Cagayan.
overnight stops at Vigan and Baguio

    trip meter was at 1488KMs
