Well Ill just share my road side semi-emergency situation.

Driving back my tire blew in the middle of nowhere. No street lighting. New tires. Wtf. Insurance company wasnt reachable. Tow trucks or road side assitance aren't known to passby here. No choice but to do it myself.

    1. No early warning device=hazard light on
    2. Gloves anti slip
    3. Knee pads.
    4. Hyundai kit n No Jack!! Forgot the bottle.
    5. Led light.
    6. Battery powered impact driver.

Parked safely away from main road, handbrake??? Loosen lugs nuts, lift at lifting point, remove punctured tire and replace with new one. Lower and tighten.

    Done in 15minutes.

Long story short, the tires were extremely quiet from Goodyear. Some road noise developed after the 3rd week. Lesson learnt: check tires if some characteristic somewhat changed.

Curious how you managed to lift the vehicle without a jack.

well, in my most recent new car purchase, all they gave was the jack, the one-armed cross wrench, and the jack stick. i had to buy everything else. i know manufacturers are into weight-saving measures, but this is ridiculous!
and i bet i have something in my trunk most of you don't have... two blocks of wood!

Unfortunately for many, marerealize lang nila na kailangan nila lahat yan kapag nasiraan na sila sa gitna ng kawalan.

.. most frequently realized , is... "bakit mas flat pa yung spare tire ko..? wala hangin..?"

but if i can inflate my softening tire, i'd do so and drive to the nearest tire shop. it's easier than having to change the tire myself.

i re-read the thread. also, stockengine is from... elsewhere.
"No Jack"... isn't that an inflatable balloon that lifts the car, instead of the traditional metal jack we are used to..?

.. almost bought one some years back, but my friend said that it springs a leak with regularity.. didn't find out if it was made in chi...

my thoughts (and that of other old-timers):

did i read, no jack? so how did...?
    battery powered impact driver? wuzzat?
knee pads? what for? i never had my knees dirtied when i replaced a flat...

so what foreign object caused the flat?

    heh heh.

HonestIy havent done a flat tire change before and really dread the day that i will have to do one on the road side. But i got all the tools ready Even if yung spare i am not sure sa condition hindi kasi accesible for psi check unless i bring it down. Although i always have them checked and rotated with spare sa casa every 5k km.

Ganyan din ako dati. Mga 5 years na rin akong driver nung una akong naflatan tapos swerte pa na malapit sya sa vulcanizing shop.

Suggestion ko is to be prepared na lang. Praktis ka brod sa bahay para may peace of mind ka anywhere you go. May instruction naman sa manual on tire replacement kasama yung mga safety procedures.
