Guys I'm looking to buy a new set of tires for my ride with 18" mags. A friend is offering a set of 4 for about 20k (very slightly used) and pay when able pa.

    Few questions lang:

    -Noise
    -Wear
    -Dry grip

Ano po feedback regarding those aspects? Yan yung important sakin for tires. Also, ang mags ba (especially china replicas) nakaka-affect sa road noise? or purely tires lang?

Not noisy sir, ganda kapit, di naman mabilis maupod. Tires lang po maingay. Ang di lang maganda sa lm703, madaling bumukol.

    Peace out!

I have 17 inch LM703's on a sedan. To be specific, they are 215/55 r17. They've been pretty good so far. I don't really have any complaints. I was told that they would give a harsher ride and they won't be grippy but so far, I'm quite happy with them but then again, this car is not really driven fast and is driven rarely. In my opinion, they're a practical choice.

Kung did noisy yung inyo, possible ba na yung rims ang nag cause ng excess road noise? Would changing tires minimize this?

Sir, pakiclarify lang medyo naguluhan ako hehehe. So yung tires noisy pero yung mags hindi nakakaaffect sa noise?

I'm using lm703 for more than a year now. Stock 15's on 1st gen crv... Hmmm noisy? Not at all. Dati Bridgestone gamit ko, yung nagpalit ako lm703, a world of difference.

Grip, above average but not spectacular and good on wet. Medyo mas mabilis maubos than my Bridgestone duelers. After a year of use, mga 80% na lang tires. worth it? Yes, basta tama gamit hindi magiging bukolin.

1st set of 4 na nabili ko was the LM703 (205/50/R16), bagong rims (2nd hand) para sa avanza, was using steelies . lasted about 2.5 years, mga 55,000+ km. good pa, pero pinalitan ko na kasi naging maulan na.'

ok lang pag dating sa road noise.

ilan beses akong nadulas using these set. malakas preno, pero nag lock ang brakes, then dumulas. Now using yokohama A drive R1. di pa ako dumulas.

I'm currently using LM 703s sized 235/50r18. No issue with road noise and dry grip. I believe it's quieter than the LM 702 it replaces. Wear is a bit faster, but then these are slapped on a big van so I'm not complaining.

For reference, brand new 18s for my size are about P7K each. I don't know what size your 18s are though, so I can't say if the P5K each is low enough.

As to your last paragraph, wheels do not play much of a role as regards road noise. Tires do. So, if your tires are badly worn, or if the tread is too aggressive, you'll get more noise.

Yung 235/40/R18 na ginamit kong LM703 medyo maingay. O pangit lang insulation ng Altis gen 10.5?

Kasi yun 235/50/R18 (same w/ imm29) hindi naman masyado..

I have Dunlop LM 703 215/55/17 in my Camry. Tires are ok but noisy, have a humming sound 50kph upwards especially on asphalt roads.

I thought the noise was because the tires were new, but they already ran 10K kilometers and are still noisy.

The tires sound like the engines of an airplane taking off when your inside the plane. Weird and annoying!

I bought a set of lm703's size 235 50 r18 for my before xmas. Previously I always buy a set of Toyo's but my suki did not have a size available. They offered me the Dunlop's but was a bit hesitant, but bought it anyways since I already had a buyer fory previous mags.

Drove already to tagaytay and subic over the holidays and i find the performance ok. The tires are not noisy at all for me even at speeds of over a 100 and my kids were not disturbed from their sleep. I don't drive aggressively, but grip is ok in the twisties. So far I'm ok with the lm703.
