dunno if this counts as a More Than Looks topic....i recently got myself a pair of Gajah Tunggal rubbers, based in no small part from the good feedback i've been getting from forums. so far so good, and i got 'em real cheap so no real reason to complain(yet). it's a minor annoyance, pero madami kasing mga "stubbles" and excess rubber protuding here and there.

how do you guys usually deal with it? ok lang ba to take a razor blade and cut them down to size? takot ko naman e sa sobrang gana e mapano pa ung goma

yeah, baka kung anong mangyari diyan if you try to cut it down (most of a tire's structural integrity comes from the sidewall, so i wouldn't be messing with it using a razor blade).

if you're talking about those little rubber things that look like hair on a new tire, they'll wear out with time. just drive the car hard and drift around a few corners, and they'll be gone in no time

Yep, the stubbles are ok. its like when u buy new bike tires, it has stubbles sometimes. Plus, it lets you know that the tires you bought are new..instead of tires with those ugly dots to let u know they're new

OT: as for the ugly dots, I think you might be referring to the dots na ginagamit para itapat sa rim, di ba? if so, may function pa rin yun.

what to do with car tire "stubble"
