Making alloy rims SHINE: mothers or megs or inexpensive alternative

I have an Elantra with alloy wheels. I just went to Blaze and found there are only two alternatives to polish the rims:

1. Mother's Mags and Aluminum Polish
2. Meguiar's All metal polish. It says that it gives highest possible polish?!

I know that there are also inexpensive metal polishes, which I suppose works in the same way.

Any experiences on what is the best to make the wheel rims REALLY SHINE?

Uhh.. keep them clean?

I also found in Ace Hardware other alternatives such as:

1. MC
2. Spotless
3. Gel
4. Kiwi metal polish

They are much less expensive. I suppose the first three will take care of keeping them clean.

But am now thinking of topping the cleaning with Kiwi.
