which to choose 2nd hand sorento diesel or gas?

hi guys our family is planning to buy a 2nd hand 2010-2012 kia sorento. can you tell me which is the best choice a diesel 2.2 or a gas 2.4? both are EX variant 7 seater. In terms of price the diesel is 200,000 more expensive than the gas. we will use it for everyday short trips (5-10km) and out of town once a month.

I need to consider the ff:
a. fuel efficiency, what are their average both in city and hiway
b. cost & how frequent is the maintenance
c. which has a better ride?
d. the price difference, is it worth for the diesel? or can i use that savings for gas and future maintenance?
