help..ung carnival namin mausok na eh.. mga 50k na natakbo in 2 yrs.. saan kaya may ok na calibration or injector overhaul na within qc an marikina lang.. as in magaling and reputable shopÜ i feel a loss of power din kasi eh.. papalitan kaya ung injectors nun and san kaya makakakuha ng parts? help talga nakakatakot na gamitin eh baka mahuliÜ

yep carnival II and daily driven kung saan saan.. we took it panga to ilocos baguio bantagas... now mejo mausok na.. kailangan ba mag carbon clean? grey market sha nakuha kaya id rather have it done outside an one time i had it serviced sa prince motors kasi i see black smoke tapos sabi nila normal lang daw eh pero hindi naman kasi no smoke talga when the unit was new..help!Ü

Nasubukan ko na yung sa Caltex, I think it's Mancor Corp. ang prices nila dipende sa capacity ng makina. My TD42 was in for their 4000-5000cc range, roughly P3,500. I couldn't say that it really cleaned all the carbon deposits since my engine wasn't blowing that much of black smoke when I tested their services. But it did lowered my emission test results.

Free kasi sa kanila yung emission test before and after carbon cleaning.

Hello Chokers,

Please browse thorugh the korean car forum regarding carnivals. I have a 2001 carnival with 50k km on the odo and it has no usok. I recently had the intake manifold cleaned for "gunk" accumulation. Dito pa lang solve yung problema. Carbon clean will only clean the fuel system but the gunk accumulation in the intake manifold will still be there.

Because it gunk accumulation thickens. it will sometimes block the intake valves which translate to lower torque. Have it serviced sa signet mas expert ang mga yan sa issue ng black smoke and loss of power. No need to change the injectors.

Hello Choker,

Signet is the distributor of Kia. May branch sila sa Mandaluyong Edsa (near boni) and Las pinas (in front of SM southmall). I bought my carnival sa signet las pinas and have it serviced there. labor for the cleaning cost around P460 only.

This will solve your problem. It would also help to put injector cleaners in your tank once every two months.

yung additives and all other cleaning solutions are only temporary in nature, as in ngayon malinis, ilang buwan marumi na ulit, kaya mura din since you may have to come back again in the next few months.

now, calibration is for a long term solution to your smoke problems. do it now, a bit expensive though but you won't come back not until 5 to 7 years again, less if you travel daily from laguna to pampanga.
