Question lang po. I finally got my estrol BD from garyq and I was browsing through all the other threads about the use of BD and I am a bit confused on what would be the initial mixture I should use. Is it 10%, 5%, 2% or 1%? For our carnival, what will be the best mixture? TIA

when we got our carnival, it had been stuck in a warehouse for 10 months. grabe smoke belching!

i decided to go with the quick fix recommended on the BD thread and went through 90 liters at 20% mix. then i had my fuel filter changed. after that 30 liters at 10%, and now 5% where i plan to maintain it.

result: after a month, absolutely no visible smoke even if i rev it up to 3000 rpm.

I drive a 2001 carnival and have been using the premixed (1%) biodiesel from Flying V stations. So far, the effect is as claimed so everytime I pass by a Flying V station I top up since there are limited stations with premixed biodiesel. I plan to increase the percentage to see if there is a significant difference kaso the concentrate gets sold out fast.
