Thanks. i followed the wirings leading from the sensor and discovered an uninsulated part - it seems that this gets into contact with the body causing the erratic speedometer. i wrapped electrical tape around it and the speedometer is working fine again since yesterday, 'hope it holds.

March 24th, 2010 08:24 AM #3yup. and you're right - it was pain in the *$& to access especially that i traced the wires from above the engine- i was practically working blind. and one more thing, it was stupid of me to do so immediately after using the car
... haha, i sported a burn mark on my left arm the size of p5-coin for one day

Yikes that(tesla) is even worse although upon some additional reading i'm not even sure our Seagull...
