for kia sportage owners: more features going to be offered in the same 2009 sportage?

Hey sirs,

it's quite odd but i'm wondering if kia philippines is going to offer the sportage with more features such as sunroof, cruise control, etc. here in the philippines. i saw their site (www.kia.ph) and checked the features of the sportage. some features include (as stated by the site):

sunroof
auto cruise control
electro chromic mirro
automatic temp. control
cargo screen

i know these features are offered in sportage units outside out country (ie US and UK) but not here. can someone confirm this? we just bought our sportage some 3 weeks go. medyo badtrip kung nag offer sila bigla ng units with these features na wala naman before. thanks guys!

last august ko lng nakuha unit ko 4wd wla syang feature na stated above actually na bad trip ako sa side mirror driver's side parang magnified kaka asiwa ganun din ba sa yo? tia

hindi nman magnified yung akin. ok lang nmn. yung sa passenger's side ung alam ko lng na magnified

You will not get the feature offered in the US and Europe if you buy the unit locally. Normally, the dealer dictates what feature they require in the units. They reduce this feature to reduce the Tax paid in the customs. More feature means more tax... So if you like to install the basic features like the cargo tray back up camera with lacd screen and so on, you have to add this at your expense...

i see. grabe mahal tlga yung tax sa customs. im planning to buy a good head unit for my sportage. alam kong OT sya pero what's a good LCD Head unit with gps? i searched the forums but i cant see any examples for the sportage. would u know any xtremerider? TIA
