May 20th, 2004 10:38 PM #1guys,
Columbia Motors is about to introduce a truly great economizer of a car: KIA PICANTO!
It says similar to this, "In a few months time, a new generation people's car will be out in the market bumping aside the old & boxy KIA PRIDE."
Try surfing google for "kia picanto" and you'll really get a big surprise for this car; 5door hatchback, excellent looks in & out, 1.1 liter gasoline plant, efi, abs/ebd, double air bags, keyless entry, less than 4meter lth; back seats foldability features; 5liters/100km mileage, 3 size mags option (13,14,15), no less than 9 chic color choices, etc. it's targeted for the young generation and, well, for the young once too..
acquisition price can be no more than P400K..
ABANGAN!!

with a 1.0 liter engine and excellent backseat foldability features (maluluma ang honda city) this car has the potential to be a profitable taxi venture. its subcompact size is very ideal for a typical pinoy small body built. interior features are too superior for its older sibling PRIDE: air bags, chic seat covers, all power features, modern instrument clusters, high tech gearsticks, cubbyholes here & there, etc.
me kulay puti pa naman ito and the mileage is really super tipid even for a gasoline engine. i doubt if a diesel variant can be marketed here which can only be out in the EU region by 2005.
the long wait for an ideal starter car for my bunsoy girl could be over!
as to the thought Picanto becoming a taxi ride is another issue for KIA and LTFRB to sort out.

Reminds me of the time I *almost* got a Hyundai Atoz. hehehehe.
I've seen some units running around town. I wouldn't mind having one for a city runner.
