The Kia Seltos and Hyundai Kona will have similar driving characteristics given that they are in the same class and price point ... The important thing to consider would be distributor / dealer support ...

    Looks damn good!

Kia PH is bringing in the segment-busting Seltos subcompact SUV | VISOR PH

But it uses the 7-speed dual clutch transmission (like the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, 216 Hyundai Tucson No Acceleration From Stop: 49 Complaints). Anyone here knows if Kia/Hyundai's dual clutch transmission is reliable and not problematic like those from Ford Fiesta/Ecosport?

We probably wont get that variant with DCT.

Baka parang Kona lang with isang variant lang (base) without touch screen pa haha.

Wag naman Ayala! Sobrang pogi nito. Wanna trade my Civic for this haha.

Unfortunately it's a CVT, but then again that's more reliable than the DCT...

These are the 3 Seltos variants Kia PH plans on launching | VISOR PH

The version that our local distributor is planning on bringing in, on the other hand, will be propelled by the 2.0-liter Nu Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine rated at 147hp and 179Nm. This powerplant will only be available with a continuously variable transmission. Our market’s Seltos will also be front-wheel-driven and underpinned by torsion-beam suspension, according to Kia Philippines product planning head Josh Altarejos.

Now, a source within the company has shared with us the three variants that will be offered in our territory, complete with a list of their standard features. Our informant does add, however, that while these features are more or less the ones our Seltos variants are getting, they are not yet 100% final. But it’s “90% done,” he promises.

No Diesel variants? That's disappointing, they might be able to sell more if they have an oil-burner version available locally as well. Knowing how pinoys love 'em. LoL.

No other Mini-CUV being sold locally has a diesel engine, except the Soul which has been discontinued, they could have considered it.

    Looks good though.

Ganda ng exterior design, medyo may hawig sa 3008. Unfortunately as per review nung taga CARGUIDE disappointing daw ang interiors, siguro parang Kona din ang material quality ng interiors.
