As far as I can tell from the image, it's probably bare bones ... manual transmission, 2.0 liter displacement, gasoline, no fog lamps, no signal repeater on the side mirrors, side mirrors not body tone painted.

Wonder if there's also a Kia Sorento AT barebones model.

    Isn't there a P1.3M Sorento diesel version?

I wish they'd post the specs of these barebones units as there are some folks who'd be ok without some amenities but then just mod the ride up. Like the barebones Innova J, for example. Bare, but you get the Innova's flexibility.

alam ko meron sir, if rumors are true price is at P1.290M pangtapat daw sa montero non-vgt. I saw a white one two weeks ago parang demo unit nila. Exterior is obvious sa pagka bare nya pero same engine daw ng current sorento. I only saw the exterior didnt check kung AT or MT yung nakita ko.

Good move by kia. The battle for the Trim down SUVs and CUVs has just started. Lets see what will be the next move of the other manufacturers.

If you think about it, sa ibang bansa eto talaga ang price nya if we convert it to peso directly...

For an everyday car, I'll take these Kias over those borloloy laden Isuzu Crosswinds with old and outdated underpinnings. Parang dinadaan na lang ng Isuzu sa accessories yung inability nila to design and come up with a new model.

Afaik, th current crosswind is still on the platform of the first hilander which was based on the older Isuzu pickup,

we still have a crosswind xt, i like it and don't think i'll sell it anytime soon. yan kasi pang bugbugan ko, cheap to maintain, great fc, i don't care if it gets scratched or dinged by the car beside me. pretty much a worry free car but if i can only own one car, it wouldn't be a crosswind.

anyway back to topic, i don't really like buying a stripped down car when i know i could buy a fully loaded car for the same price. for that price i'd rather get an innova g if i really need a car as big as that but if i don't i'd buy a lancer gt-a/hyundai elantra/corolla/cruze.
