    Need your advice guys,

The dealership performed 1K PMS on our CRDi sorento. first I have found out that they used Mineral Oil instead of synthetic and now after running another 1K kms, ngayon ko lang nakita yung level ng engine oil sa stick. lampas pa sa letter F ano gagawin ko ngayon? palitan ko naba oil?

    TIA

DONT.. Explain ko sa iyo ang policy ng Kia, Kia does not recommend synthetic oil for their engine (don't know why so please no discussion on this)... They have a specific brand of mineral oil.. Sabi daw formulated eto specificially for Kia Philippines. Since under warranty pa yan, just follow them na lang.. Kung medyo hindi ka happy sa mineral oil, d pa change oil ka na lang every 3 months.

Regarding lampas, just bring it na lang sa dealer and complain... Drain lang naman nila yan.

Did you check oil level right after shutting down engine? Proper way would be to let it cool down first so the the oil settles.

synthetic oil is just hype to jack up your PMS cost. market trending ang style ng mga casa.

di na ako gagamit nyan ever. 2 yrs. na Sta Fe CRDi ko regular shell diesel, oks na oks

Kakatawa talaga Hyundai and Kia. Porke hindi parreho distributors nila they act dfferently pero SAME LANG ENGINE NILA... So the other wants you to use synthetic, the other wants you to use mineral for the SAME ENGINE. Sino kaya tama? Or pwede naman talaga mineral pero gusto lang kumita ng Hyundai?

Thanks .this is the confirmation I've been waiting for since the other CASA i've asked said I have the choice if mineral or synthetic.. so mineral can also work in R CRDi engines? kasi my cousin has a facelift santa fe and hyundai didn't allow him daw to use other oils other than Fully synthetic na galing sa kanila. kaya ako thinking that sorento and SF are the same, I concluded na same treatment ang gagawin. kaya I was wondering bakit mineral ang ginamit.

sobra talaga yung oil. followed the procedure sa manual.

    Kaya pala maingay eh.

    ---------------------

Kasi sa Theta II engines may knocking kapag mineral oil. So baka sa CRDi ganun din ang mangyari. At masyado "makapal" ang mineral oil for CRDi, 20W-40 or 20W-50.

download nyo kasi Hyundai bible or Hyundai Sta Fe Service Manual. dun nyo malalaman talaga kumbakit hindi kelangan yan mga synthetic na yan. kunsabagay, kung gusto nyo maging milking cow, no one's stopping you.
