*suysuy, I also thought that all Sorento's came with ESC as standard feature but when I look at my control pad (below-right), the only thing I have is the locking switch for the 4x4's center differential. I don't have the ESC-Off switch (so I presumed my Sorento didn't have the ESC feature).

Wow, you have a 2009 Sorento. From 2002~2005, the old Sorento had a regular turbo which gave the engine 142bhp. Come 2006 onwards, the old Sorento had the BorgWarner BV42 VGT pushing the engine's power to 170bhp. Nice rig you got there for off-roading specially your dual range transfer case, LSD, and solid rear axle.

I'll be using my Sorento for non-hardcore offroading, like bring it up to Sagada this year-end.

You can still get all the 4x4 goodies but it comes at a price of P2.1M for the Deluxe variant - ouch!

The Sorento of xander has a bare control pad, no ESC-Off switch too. xander, seeking your permission to re-post the pic you uploaded on page 24 of this thread, here goes :

The Mazda CX-7 and the Subaru Forester both have their ECS/TCS-Off switch on their dash. Maybe our Sorento's ECS is a full time feature that cannot be turned off - but this doesn't make sense. When I turn on the ignition, all the lights on the speedometer dial turn on momentarily - I can see the diff-lock light-up but I don't see any ECS light-up anywhere . . . . hmm.

Baka naman the Tucson doesn't have one too.
