Yung mga diesel na Sportage puro "Grand Sportage" meaning extendend yung rear end nila for larger luggage space and yung spare tire ay under the floor. 2.0L din yata yung diesel. Pero mas malakas pa sa makina ng Pajero ko.

No problem. I was dreaming of owning one back in '99. Diesel na automatic in my favorite shade of blue.

Madami na ding Korean surplus na Sportage na pumapasok. At least not converted (easier for newbies).

Take your pick, gas or turbo diesel. Standard body or long body (aka Grand Sportage). Meron ako nakita sa ads recently. Grand Sportage TDi matic na local. Can't recall the price nga lang.

sportages are selling like hotcakes here in cebu. saan ka mag punta, may sportage. these are surplus units from korea brought by koreans themselves. ang dami nang mga surplus auto center dito sa cebu owned by koreans. Yumayaman mga koreano sa mga junk nila sa korea. Mas maganda ang hugis ng sportage compared to vitara but worst ang engine ng sportage. Short or long body sportage, mostly are diesel engines, konti lng ang gas. May remedy mga sportage owners dito sa cebu, they change its engine to mazda's.

why po worst ang engine ng sportage? sportage and hyundai are sister companies so they have the same crdi engines

I don't own a sportage but I believe comments such as yours that tend to generalize perceptions (mostly biases from the previous model/s) rather than providing an objective and factual comparison of its defect/s (if any) actually causes harm and mental anxiety to current model owners. Some of them might actually believe your hearsay and accept it as "gospel truth" when in fact it isn't. I can only suggest freespin that next time please be careful of what you say. Peace

hearsay? i own a sportage myself dude! im talking about d 1st gen sportage and not d new one. my sportage had overheated several times already, and changed cylinder head gasket 6 times. in our neighborhood alone, about 5 of them have sportages and they are experiencing d same. but we are not regreting, we like d sportage and if we're able to replace the old parts, then this wud be no hassles at all.

IM NOT CAUSING HARM HERE, mr. sunchoo! IM JUST STATING FACTS AND FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE ON MY VEHICLE! WHY ARE YOU SO AFFECTED, BTW???

My bad there. Should have known you were referring to the gen1. Btw, am not affected whether the sportage is this and that. What i just meant in my previous reply was for everyone to be circumspect in posting. Ironic coz I guess I should've read carefully the flow of the thread.
