CATS will be launching the new Jeep Commander along with the Chrysler Pacifica crossover-SUV.

2006 Jeep Commander



In the US there are 3 engines available:
210hp 3.7 liter V6
235hp 4.7 liter V8
330hp 5.7 liter Hemi V8

There are no local specs or prices yet, US prices start at $27,440 for the base RWD V6 model while the base AWD V6 model starts at $29,440.

Its about the same size as a Prado.

Well, its not for everybody.... many people also find angular SUVs like the Mercedes G-class, H2 and Land Rover Defender ugly, but some prefer these over the jellybean soft roaders.

The compact 5-door Jeep Liberty may soon be replaced by a rugged SUV(LWB 5-door Wrangler) and 2 crossover-SUVs(Patriot & Compass).
Jeep is making a LWB 5-door Wrangler based on the recently introduced all-new 2007 Wrangler.


And they also have 2 crossover SUVs the boxy Patriot and the sporty Compass.
