May 21st, 2012 01:57 PM #1That's odd, I suppose not all engines were created equal then. Is it crawling like this one? If so, maybe just a bit more patience is required. I suppose it reached top gear at the 175km/h mark and it would crawl all the way to its top speed if you keep the accelerator floored. Maybe you'd like to try cleaning and/or replacing the air and oil filters and see if the performance improves.

May 21st, 2012 05:57 PM #2Similar to that but slower. Could it be possible that the Dmax on the video is the VGS version? I hope the video captured the tach clearly but based on what I saw, at 48 seconds at more than 190 kph, the tach reading is almost red line already.
Perhaps I just didn't push it more or maybe due to the road terrain. I only try those speeds in SCTEX since most of the time I only drive around 100 kph to 120 on National roads and around 60 to 80 in city limits. In NLEX, I am a bit more cautious. Just burst speed of 120 to 140. Next time when I go up north, I will try again.
How about 97 LXi?
