    Hi guys,

    My Alterra is iPod ready.

However I can not figure out how to make it show the video in the screen.

I did the following steps (based on the user manual)

    1. I connected my iPod to the iPod cable (in the compartment)
    2. I pressed the iPod video playback icon.
    3. I selected the video to play in my iPod

The video is playing in the iPod itself. The audio is playing in the car speaker as well. But the screen just shows

    "WAITING FOR VIDEO"

Tried to wait for like 30 mins or so and nothing happens. It just shows "WAITING FOR VIDEO" all the time.

What am I doing wrong here?

    Thanks in advance

Is your iPOD Video the newer generation? I believe the it's only the "older" generation iPOD Videos it works with.

    Hi Benzmizer,

Yes, my iPod is new generation (just got it 2 weeks ago).

Is there not a way to make it work?

I bought this iPod specifically for this purpose..

No software available (for now) to make it work. In due time I guess......

you need original apple AV cable for that. it would work with class A cables but the IPOD/iPhone should also be in old os version.

with new OS versions, you need new ORIGINAL cable for that.

just in case some of you would doubt my suggestion ... kasi ba naman iba ang SOFTware sa HARDware diba ?
pero that's the case with Apple. Before i wanted to buy cheap AV cables for my iphone to connect to my lcd sa car, but i researched and found out na hindi pala uubra. Ended up buying the Original cables.

    Google nyo.

Originally, I was planning to buy an Ipod just for my Urban Cruiser, but I could not decide which "size" to get.

In the meanwhile, I bought some SD cards to use instead.

Now, I find that the SD cards work so well, I have changed my mind about getting an Ipod.

It is a low-cost solution that I just stumbled upon.

    Ciao!

    Uncle Nick.

    Hi dieselNUBI,

    Is this for real?

The cable comes in with my Alterra when I bought it. Are you saying that is not original?

Where can I buy this Apple AV cable and how do I know it is original?

    Uncle Nick,

Did you place the SD in the slot for the Navi?

I use the Navi most of the time so that is not an ideal solution for me.
