Dear sir, how do I break in crosswind a/t transmission, especially the overdrive function. In normal driving in the city , the over drive lights off (od off)in the instrument panel should be lighted or not. And how does it affect the fuel consumption.
Can you also explain how to use the over dive. Thanks in advance

Brand new vehicles sold these days do not require break-in. All engines manufactures are "breaked-in" prior to assembly. Nonetheless, you can follow these precautionary steps in operating your new vehicle:

    • Do not rev your engine more than 2,000rpm until reaching the normal operating engine temperature; and
    • Run your vehicle between 80-100kph (average) until reaching 1,500 PMS

Yes, the "OD" light should be OFF when normal operation for better fuel efficiency. OD OFF is used when one require additional (maximized) torque when overtaking or inclined road conditions

Most important, follow RELIGIOUSLY the recommended PMS schedule as indicated in the Maintenance Booklet.

    Good luck!
