    Need some help guys,

Was planning on upgrading mags on my 1st gen xtrm (ie. 1st hilander extreme body). Big problem that the 1st gen body only has 4 holes for the wheels, whereas the succeeding generations have 6 holes. Unfortunately the mags i have in mind are 18" with six holes.

a.)Is it possible to swap my xtrm's wheel assembly to that of a current gen or maybe a bighorn wheel assembly to obtain the 6 studs for the wheels?

b.)If yes, would it be bolt-on, no modifications needed?

c.)Would the change to 18" drastically affect this auv's performance? Speed for sure will be affected.

Also, any known suki surplus places for such parts?

This was the 1st generation xtreme. 1st hilander body with xtrme kit, 2.5 ltr non-turbo, lifted suspension, 15", 4 hole mags.

    Any info would be appreciated.

I don't know about the conversion, but it's probably easy if you can find the parts. Halos walang difference mechanically ang suspensions.

Yes, the 18"s will affect performance negatively. Mags that big are noticeably heavier than stock and it sometimes feels like the body of the Crosswind is bouncing around the wheels instead of the wheels themselves moving against the road. On the plus side, they do make the ride settle down a little bit in slow driving, and grip from the tires is much better than stock. But expect your already glacial speed to get even slower.

Try the ACE mags (don't know where you can get them now...) because at 17", they are a bit lighter than the new stock 15" 6-studs on the Crosswind.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
