    Hi guys,

Anu kaya problem nito? Magkano kaya magagastos? Me alam ba kayo shop na magaling sa las pinas area? Salamat.

how much RPM increase do you need to stop the shaking?

Imo, I don't think the Idle fuel consumption is very significant. the significant consumption really starts when the engine feels the load, like starting to move...

or baka naman worn out na engine support?

    We had one before.

    The Good:

    1. Bulletproof, ever-reliable Isuzu diesel engine.
    2. Excellent FC figures (around 12 km/l, city driving, better on the highway)
    3. Family schoo bus (if you bring tots to school)
    4. Starts every time, goes every time.
    5. Almost any street corner talyer can do engine repairs (if needed).

    The Bad.

    1. Well, its a diesel and you have to be religious with the oil-change intervals
    2. Doors misalign easily. You have to check those hinges.
    3. Power windows misalign easily or refuse to work, esp. the driver's side window.
    4. The interior is nothing to brag about, dated plastic, old Fujitsuten cassete AM/FM radio, dull green backlighting on the instrument cluster, pull-type emergency brake.
    5. This is a matter of taste - the bouncy ride owed to the leaf-spring rear suspension.
    6. You'd have to watch the electricals, particularly the peanut-bulbs which light up the instrumentation cluster and the aircon controls as these easily burn out.

Hi sir, we have isuzu hi lander slx, 98 model, pero the same din naman sila except if you are going to buy the SL or SLX model. It is isuzu, it is diesel in short maganda makina nya.

And one thing, if you will use it for service regularly i think you have to replace your mags. Kasi po we've tried installing 195 R14 tires 8 ply sumasayad sya.

Pero maganda ang hi lander if it is in your budget.

We bought an IPV because of the satisfaction on hi lander's 4ja1 engine

    Basta alagaan lang.

    Hope this helps ^^

Sir as far as i know walang XL na hi lander model. I think sa crosswind variant yun or sa sportivo. Baka SL version yung sinasabi nyo.

    Ideal idle is:
    +/-750rpm (without aircon)
    +/-800rpm (with aircon)

If these are the idle setting you have and it still vibrates like hell, you may want to check the engine supports (as already mentioned by rion)

try to bleed the fuel line. air might be present in the fuel system.

try changing the fuel filter also, it might be clogged.

hello po, meron po ba separate thread or forum for hilander rides? napag iwanan na yata kaming hilander owners, he he. hirap kasing mag search sa crosswind thread, wala masyado nababanggit tungkol sa hilander. I would just want to do some diy maintenance and repairs and some improvements if doable. a separate thread filled with owners'(past or present)experiences, modifications etc would be very helpfull.

kid, iisa lang makina ng hilander at crosswind. pati electricals, tranmission, and chassis magkapareho yata. in fact, hilander parts can be used sa crosswind. yung body lang pinagkaiba. so kung diy repairs ang kelangan mo, you can pickup pointers dun sa crosswind thread. meron din naman mga nakahilander dito. ang pinakagwapo eh si frankdebbin, :D tanungin mo lang sya via private msg.

Hi guys, good day 2 all of you. Bago lang po ako dito

I just bought a 2nd hand isuzu hilander 99 model last month.
So far engine performance is good as well as its fuel consumption.
Medyo may kalawang na rin underchassis and body.
My concern is, napansin ko na wala palang nakakabit na fuel filter and pati yung kabitan nya wala din. Im confused why is it running? Hope this forum can share something with my concerns. More power to this forum and God bless...

No fuel filter??? Yup, a vehicle can run without a fuel filter BUT you are in exposing yourself from (very) high risk that fuel contaminants may get in the engine.... lalo na diesel-fed pa yung sasakyan mo.

As it's name says, the fuel filter FILTERS entry of fuel contaminants to the engine.

made of metal ito tapos nakabaliktad ang position nito
