nice! congrat! change the brake pads? hehehe
But I'm not sure if this is already resolved with the newer units this year. On my car 05 model, after 6 mons I got squeaking brakes. Had the rotors refaced, and grooves etched on the pads as per casa advice. but later on, I had the pads replaced with non oem aftermarket pads.

Mga peeps, share ko lang what I did with my sounds. Pasensya na medyo malabo ang pics...
I replaced my separates with 6" Kickers na Es.
Direct replace lang to the stock mounts, no cutting..
then we stripped down the seats to neatly accomodate the 180watt superslim subs at the rear. Built-in na ang amps into the box that holds an 8 incher. The blue Soundstream amps is from my other car; it drives the Kicker seps.
the remote for the subs...
The subs fit snugly under the rear seats since its really built for pick-ups. The bass quality? Very good! At least for a pick-up interior that is. It's the best I've heard so far from ultra slim subs. It sounds like a 10 incher even if I open the doors for tambay listening.
Oo nga pala, di ba the earlier Dmax models ('04,'05) sported Blaupunkt separates? Well I was in for a surprise when I found out na mine (an '06) wasn't. In fact, hindi nga manlang Dai-ichi, talagang walang tatak as in local. Oh well, the '06 releases were assembled locally nalang so I guess that's what we get.

ganda MR,
i diy replaced rear speakers with a 10 year old infinity 3-way. since hindi fit screw holes nung plastic mount, i glued it nalang using super glue and red gasket epoxy (para sticky but rubbery, non brittle compound at kaya sa rear ko kinabit para ma lessen chance matangal from frequent close-open nang door). so far so good nakadikit parin.
for out of warranty dmaxs'; for oil change service you can try shell helix centres (used fernando ave, mkna.) they use vic filters and 5ltrs of rimula-x. tried it last time and it costs about 1000 (the price of an isuzu oil filter)
btw, got a message from back home, na rearend dmax namin sana hindi na mis-align tailgate etc, another accident within a 1 year period. i dont know if its the same for everybody but (due to recent events) i find having the casa as my insurance broker convenient. using isuzu pasig fao standard insurance.
i also find renewing of the SAVI rustproofing good for me (rustproofed twice, once from casa then as an free or inclusive add-on when i got my rhino linings from savi timog). direct na ako sa savi, i saw their work once at savi greenhills, i think halos whole reaaplication ng chemicals; undercoat and inside the metal panels. for about 2500 annually

Wow! Sure looks snug--the powered subs and the seps. Can't help it but post today..my first. 'Been reading this thread for the past month or so and this really got me going
. I have been dreaming of upgrading my sound system pero wala akong kaalam alam how. Mine is a '05 Dmax 4x2 manual na silver. Walang binago--just the stepboard, bedliner and the hood visor.
Memphis Raines, anong brand nang powered subs mo and how much did it cost you?
