"Right now, they’re sort of alone on a peninsula that’s getting smaller," sambit ni David Cole, chairman ng Center for Automotive Research sa Ann Arbor, Michigan.

"The issue going forward in the passenger car market will be working for growth in the luxury segment," pahayag ni John Caseca sa isang report.

Yeah, the Eclipse, along with the Evo, should keep Mitsu up Stateside. From Isuzu though, I never heard any fanfare for a long time.

On the contrary, Mitsubishi is set to debut the Evo X this October at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Probably for the U.S. market only (as El Chicane had mentioned). Mitsubishi and Isuzu has a good following here in Asia. AFAIK, the three diamond car brand also has a good following in some parts of Europe. The Americans have never really been fans of Japanese cars. They only patronize selected models/types of Japanese cars.

same with isuzu d-max aka chevy colorado/gmc canyon

mitsu (under chrysler) naman talagang hirap sa US buti pa yata ang kia at hyundai magbili pa eh.

bali yung EVO9, 10, 11....magiging rare item na lang sa US like the skyline, porsche 959

As for Mitsu, well malabo pang mangyari yan sa kanila.

Malabong i-release ang D-Max as it would cut into Chevy's truck sales... but not much... and maybe not at all.

GM has been really lazy in developing Isuzu for the home market, and Isuzu's product line-up in Asia is starting to reflect their pathetic situation... the only new product Isuzu has is the D-Max/Alterra, and the Alterra was only developed here in the ASEAN (as the Adventure Master in Thailand, is that right?)... I fear Isuzu may not be long in the passenger-vehicle business... damn lazy! Selling the same two or three products for almost fifteen years!

Mitsu has a chance for survival... Nissan was in even more desperate straits than Mitsu back in the 90's, and their car line-up was just as bad (even though I'm a former Sentra man, I have to admit this...) but they pulled out. Unfortunately for Mitsu, the tech underneath their "new" models doesn't look so enticing at the moment... c'mon, 2.4s and 3.8s to get the same power as the competition?

It'll be a long road, but Mitsu, at least, should make it back.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

dunno...i think the LCV segment maybe a saving grace for mitsu ans isuzu. afaik most of the delivery vans on the road are L300s, and i see lots of IPVs being used for delivery/company service vehicles
