Trooper Owners- What's your diesel mileage.

Guys,

Ask ko lang before I sent my unit for check up...last two months ago my diesel consumption is 5.6km/liter... however after replacing the rpcv valve it went down to 5.3km/l.

I would just like to ask other peoples opinion on what their consumption is... 4jx1-tc po ang engine.

Isuzu gurus: is this normal? any advise would be appreciated.

ang baba naman yata, akala ko ba they claim na sobrang tipid ng 4JX1-TC.

di ba nanalo palang sila redhorse at si ungas sa isuzu challenge?

7-9 km/l ako mixed city and hiway driving, kaso 4JG2-TC ang engine ko

can't give you my mileage, kasi yong bata minsan tulog pa pagdating sa school, idling muna for 5 to 10 mins bago bumaba...

Redhorse: favor.. :D can you try... just want to set some benchmark. Eh kung ganun na ang habit mo tapos you manage to get higher than 5.3 then definitely there's something wrong with my ride. - kung ok lang po... thanks.

Doing about 7.7 to 8.2 km/L on a mix of mountain and city driving.

huh! jackaroo kakainggit naman... just an update gas mileage went up to 6.0km/L but still far way off the 7.7.. wow.. should I have my unit checked?

any advice?

just spoken to someone from isuzu alabang.. average daw dapat 9km/l pero pag city driving normal daw ang 5.3-6! totoo ba ito?

thats too long bro....i average around 10-11km..but havent checked for a while..but then again..i hardly use my car in city driving..usually out of town...ill try to find out again soon bro...

Think an aver of 6km/L in city driving sounds right.
Do at least 300km before you fill up and measure, helps average out the idling time.

Trooper did 6.08 km/l since full tank last Sunday.

Same shell station (west ave.) , same pump.

actually, magaan na paa ng driver mo hahahaa.. sa akin tuwang tuwa na ako when i reached 6.0.. i only managed to get around 5.3-5.6.

=) bad driving habits i guess.. pag di mo kasi tinapak di tatakbo eh.

Measured trooper's fuel mileage over the last two weeks.
1) with a trip to batangas and city driving- 9.3km/L
2) with a trip to tagaytay and city driving- 8.9km/L

6.3 to 6.5 sa akin. i only do city driving d2 sa davao. less traffic kesa manila. mabigat pala paa ko. hehehe

consumption ko pag hiway going to bicol nsa 11.5 to 12.. pag normal city driving nsa 7 to 8... pag galit sa gas pedal nsa 5.5 to 6.8

d ko alam kung after i change the tire and air filter it get better or worse..hehehehe

I own a 2003 Trooper (4JX1) with a 30K kms on it, used principally by the kids for school. I'm on 3% Biodiesel (2L/full tank), and average 6.5Kms/L. At prevailing diesel prices of P30.9/L, my fuel cost is P4.85/km, more or less. Mileage updates, anyone?

I thought troopers have good fuel mileage. almost same lang with gas engines pala.
