Just Bought 2005 Xwind XT w/ High Milage

hello po fellow tsikoteers..

I am a newly registered user here, but I usually browse this site to look for a 2nd hand descent ride. Luckily I got a 2005 Isuzu Crosswind XT but meron lang po ako concern which I look forward you can help me.

1. May medyo white na usok sa umaga during idling? Is it normal? pero po kapag warmed-up na wala na ang usok?

2. May konti usok na lumalabas sa dipstick pero wala talsik? After browsing po sa mga forums, may nagsasabi na blowby na , may nagsasabi na normal lang yun kaya confuse po ako...muntik ko na nga po hindi kuhanin yung unit because of that usok sa dipstick but on oil filler cap wala talsik at wala usok...

3. Hindi ko alam kung saan ginamit nung 1st owner kasi considering 2005 model siya nakuha ko yung xwind with 150K Kms on odometer (40K Kms/year more or less) pero makinis pa po at mukhang new ang unit may mga small dents and scratches which is evident but overall..I love this ride tipid sa gas parang nasa 15Km/Li ang FC ko...Tanong ko lang po kung ano dapat ko ipacheck with this odometer reading...pina-changeoil ko na po at palit oil filter and tune up (valve clearance adjust) as advise ng mekaniko ko to lessen the smoke on the dipstick..medyo nagimprove naman po pero hindi totally nawala. Nilinis na din nila water separator at fuel pump...

4. Nawala yung blue LED light sa on/off ng aircon pero last week meron naman?meron na po ba nakaexperience nito at kung paano ito pailawin ulit?

Puwede po ba sumali ng Isuzu Club? Gusto ko din po kasi magjoin at magparticipate..

What 150k on the odometer? that's stupid....nilaspag na yan for sure ng mga previous owners......

I have a 1997 model car which has 57k on the odo.....but that? a 2005 model Xwind has 150k mileage already? ano yan? pinangbusiness?

What color is it ba? If it's white there is a possibility na ginawa siyang fx....

Sir Glacier Blue po ang kulay niya....Ok naman po ang condition ng body minor scratches lang at loaded na din with step board and visors...iniisip ko nga bakit ganun kataas milage niya average na takbo everyday eh nasa 150kms...

hindi naman kaya nasira na yung orig odometer then bumili sya ng replacement at yun ang naka indicate sa km sa odo?

parang yung van ko nasira ang odometer natatandaan ko smething 110k km na yun pero yung nabli ko speed meter aba 260thou km na

Pwede rin sinasabi ni Sir Aga......pero I don't think na hindi mapapansin ng owner na ganun ang mileage niya kung mali iyon....

Uhm, advice lang sir ah....contact the owner then ask the ff:

1. Is he/she the 1st owner?
2. Why is the mileage is so high?
3. Ginawa ba yang kolorum?
4. Ano nangyari, bakit may dents and scratches siya?
5. Pinarepaint niya ba yan? Kung oo, what is the original color.....
6. Ano ang usual routes niya?

Ask niyo lang po yan kung pwede........

I think the mileage can also be right.

I know someone with 2006 Crosswind XT with 145, 000 on the odometer. He travels every week with 5 days on the road.

Basta alaga that vehicle can withstand the burden.

Bale po 1st owned po, Environmental Scientist ang may ari and she is from Bacolod, now I'm thinking baka palagi niya byahe sa bacolod because she is based in UP Los Banos....Or baka ginanagamit niya sa field all over the Philippines..wala na po kasi yung may ari nasa America na...

About the color original naman pa rin po same ng post na pics ni sir renzo...I have the manuals and service records and Im sure na working fine ang odo kasi in a span of 1 year eh lampas 50K kms na natakbo nya. Medyo pormado na ito compare to the stock kasi may visor, stepbar and forglights and alarm na ang nakuha ko...

About dents...may dent sa hood dun sa harap..siguro nadiinan kapag sara hood..manipis pala body ng xwind...then sa gilid mga mga minor scratches...then dun sa likod na pinto may maliit din...other than that makintab at flawless pa ang body...

May concern lang po ako...nagmomoist ang left headlight casing ko as in may tubig sa loob, any idea po kung paano ko maayos ito and what sealant is good to prevent water from coming in. Maraming salamat po...mabuhay po kayo....

yes possible naman na magaccumulate ng high mileage especially kung vehicle for rent, ganyan din kasi sa brother in law ko. meron siya 2000 revo then after 5yrs naka 155K due to almost everyday may out of town trips.

Ah kaya naman pala eh.....malamang she uses it everytime for long trips etc etc.....

About the headlights problem.....ano siya moist lang? Kung moist lang, hayaan mo na lang yan mawawala rin yan after an hour or two.....

Kung may water naman, dalhin mo na lang yan sa talyer at madali lang nila maremedyuhan ang ganyang problem

Sir renzo thanks...mukha naman pong hindi ginawang GT service kasi malinis ang 2nd and 3rd row seat mahihigpit pa mga hinges pati mga pinto sa driver lang ang medyo may uga the rest ang kunat at ang ingay..kapag bukas and sara...

about the headlight moisture lang po pero ayaw mawala eh 1 week na sa akin yung xwind na ito bale ang nawawala lang ang moist is yung sa tapat ng headlight and signal because of the heat other parts na hindi abot ng heat ng lamp dun may moisture na ayaw matanggal...

they changed the bulb. Mura lang yung bulb parang less than a hundred
pero yung labor, mahal

3. Yung hood according to casa,dapat pabagsak ang pagsara di ipu-push
kasi nga madedent.

hi! actually po with regards to isuzu engines (4JA1), wala akong masasabi sa durability at tatag nito. i've owned a 2000 hi-lander XTRM and when i sold it, it was almost 270k kms sa odometer. it has never been calibrated nor overhauled. adjustment ng valve tappets and injectors lang ang nagawa.

no it was not used as a colorum vehicle nor pampasada. panghatid sundo lang sa wife ko everyday to and from makati (coming from cavite). plus the occasional out of town trips. i just made sure to have the oil and the air filter religiously changed every 5000kms and never naman nagkaproblema with the engine. yup may usok pero it's not a blowby usok. just the normal gray usok and isuzu engine clatter.

i think basta po alaga ang engine it would go a long way... and i can attest to this.

di naman cguro pinag business yn or lalu na ginawang FX normal lang yn bro amin nga XT 2010, oct accquired odometer nia is 17k na lagi kc ginagamit ...then ung uncle ko nka XUV 03 odometer is 200k+ na...di naman ping business un

I agree with jdmspuck. Pwede naman even privately used.

I, for one, live in Sta. Rosa. I work in Metro Manila and the average distance I travel daily is 125kms round trip --- and this does not include misc trips I do in between working hours. Do this 5x a week for an average of 4 weeks in a month x 12 months in a year would be = to 30,000 kms a year. To add, this does not include (further) out-of-town trips on weekends.

What is important is the maintenance of the vehicle. A regular (CASA a plus) maintained, high-mileage vehicle is even better than a low mileage but not regularly-maintained vehicle.
