    Hi,

First off, congratulations to all the peeps here for making this board very informative and friendly!

I'm a newbie and this is my first post. My faithful workhorse is a '97 isuzu fuego 4x2 fitted with michelin LTX A/T 235/75 R15 XL on 15x6.5 alloy rims. I'm planning on replacing the old rims with those aluminum polished ones specifically the BAJA series I found on our local tire dealer for that semi-macho yet clean and not overdone look. What rims/tires would you guys recommend kaya?

    Eyeing something like this:

    15x8 rim http://www.alliedwheel.com/one-piece/baja.html

What tires sizes would fit this rim and do I need any necessary bodylifting/suspension cranking? Will my existing 235/75 tires be able to fit on this one? Lalabas ba sya sa gilid ng fender? Will the added rim/tire width affect performance and efficiency?

Or should I find a 15x7 rim instead and use my existing tires?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I suggest that you use 15x7, have used before 15x8 rim, twice have I gone back to 15x7. Iba talaga ang feel, plus less load sa suspension. I also drive an isuzu.

Thanks. Your suggestion will be considered in my purchase. Is your isuzu a 4x2? What's your tire setup? A friend of mine fitted his with 15x8s plus 235/75 M/T tires umiba nga yung handling nya parang bumigat ung steering hehe.. Meron bang compatible na OME shocks and ARB bars (front/rear) for a 4x2?

Hope I can get more suggestions... Thanks

isuzu TFR 4wd. Currently using fuego rims with 31x10.5R15 BF goodrich A/T KO. OME shocks and rear leaf springs.

this is my 7th rim, had 5 rims na 15x7, and 2 15X8.

OME shocks is available for the 2wd fuego as well as rear leaf springs.

Kung hindi mo papalitan ang goma and lalaparan mo ang rim to 8" then the tires will "spread-out" a bit. Most likely giving more surface area for contact between tire surface and road. I'd say it could be good in traction...but this same frictional force will give additional strain sa steering and handling.

Plus points sa POGI POINTS nga lang.

Sa steering, I heard/read from another thread about changing the diameter of the power steering pump para ma-boost ang pressure nito and thus help handle bigger tires.

Kung lalabas ba sa fenders mo yung tires mo, would really depend on the off-set of the hub. Kung pareho lang ang offset ng bago mong rim sa old rim, I don't think it would bulge out of the fenders, but it might scrub inside when you turn full - parang small kasi ang space ng fender ng fuego (unlike frontier) or dmax.

    my 2 cents.

wildthing: Sir, thanks for the input. It will help me decide this coming weekend.

ARB: dramatic ba difference ng handling and riding comfort for a 4x2 if I were to change my stock shocks and rear leaf springs to OME? How much are those rear leaf springs kaya?

Sirs, what are your thoughts on torsion cranking and body lifting? 2 inches lang siguro. Which is better and practical?
