Guys! Just emailed senbel and they responded already. As per senbel the inclusion of biodiesel will not harm the internal injectors of the trooper. Also the most important is it will not void the warranty.
Here's the complete reply of senbel:
Hi,
Thanks for the short note. The injection system you have is high pressured but nevertheless, the Worldwide fuel charter states that at B5 or blend of 5%biodiesel or vegetable derived ester, this will not void it's warranty. In fact cars in Germany with similar common rail injection have been using biodiesel from B5 up to B20 or 20%. I've clipped a copy of the doc. for reference.
Thanks.
I have the docs/presentation fot the specs of biodiesel but dont know how to upload it here. PM me nalang if you want the copy so i'll just email it to you.
I cannot remember what thread was it or who posted it, but, what I can remember is that the poster cautioned us on using biodiesel for common-rail systems with HEUI, as with our 4JX1 Troopers. Keeps me wondering, what is(are) there in the biodiesel that can have adverse effects on the common-rail system or probably, on the HEUI? Can somebody please enlighten us? Or, is he missing something? Thanks.
cj,
I already replied to your PM. Let me just post here a recap of what I said in my reply to you.
mdpo,
can I have a copy of Senbel's literature on BioDiesel?
As we all know, the top of the line trooper has the latest fuel injection system called the common rail which is also present in the MB Vito. Itong dalawa lang ang alam namin na meron ganitong systema.
Common rail being fully electronic in nature is really sensitive to dirt specially coming from the fuel you feed it with. There has been cases already wherein pumps of the trooper failed because of dirty fuel and these are not covered by warranty.
BioDiesel on the other hand is only being introduced now wherein we still don't have the finest form of it yet as refineries still have to re-tool themselves to be able to produce according to euro standards. A few people I know used biodiesel on their mechanical fuel systems and have had minor problems such as the accumulation of the dirt it collects from the fuel system to the filters. Someone told me that you have to replace your fuel filter after your first dose of biodiesel or it will clog up your fuel lines.
Furthermore, OEM's of fuel injection system has not fully endorsed the biodiesel. read on at http://betancalibration.com/whatsnew.htm, all of them are still on the testing stage like we do.
Doc Diesel
p.s. if you want to try it out on your trooper, go ahead, you might as well be the first guinea pig [tama ba spelling??]
