A rejuvenated Isuzu D-Max and Crosswind comes for 2012

Isuzu Philippines Corp. is sprucing up two of its best-selling people-carriers for the new year. Their award-winning workhorse, the 4x4 D-Max LS, gets the “Radikal” treatment and features a new color-keyed bumper over-rider upfront, genuine Isuzu bed liner at the back, and a distinctive “Radikal” badge slapped on the sheet metal. The Crosswind Sportivo+, on the other hand, has most of the work done on family-centered amenities such as a new entertainment system, more cargo space, plus a navigation system that comes as an option.

Beyond the 2012 D-Max's cosmetic and functional upgrades, it still is powered by the dependable 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TC iTEQ common-rail diesel engine and rides comfortably Isuzu's Flex-Ride suspension system. The D-Max is also well-equipped for a pick-up, sporting a 2-DIN audio-video head unit with sat nav, projector-type headlamps, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and a reserve camera with back-up sensors. This, however, is not yet the all-new D-Max that's coming out in Thailand, but is just as tough.

With its new upgrades, you can now truly drive in style with the new Crosswind Sportivo+. Isuzu has pumped up the tires to more rugged 235/70 R15 units, installed an SUV-type rear bumper step board, and added on an oval tail-pipe finisher. Of course, there's still the projector-type headlamps, power-folding side mirrors, and reverse camera with back-up sensors.....

“The Crosswind has always had a reputation for being the best value-for-money vehicle in its class. With this latest addition of new features, the award-winning Crosswind becomes an even better proposition for those who are looking for a reliable and capable vehicle that will serve them well for many years to come,” he added.

The 2012 Isuzu D-Max is now on sale starting at P860,000 for the base model, up to P1,418,000 for the top-of-the-line 4x4 LS AT, while the 2012 Isuzu Crosswind is available from P794,000 for the XL to P1,220,000 for the Sportivo AT.

    double sheesh!!!

Mitsubishi Montero non-vgt variant is being sold a little over 1.1M, it's a no brainer to choose Montero over the Sportivo with it's current price.

Too expensive for this kind of ride. There's a lot of better ride out there with reasonable prize.

Realistically, the Crosswind should be priced at 900,000++.

At the rate they are going, they might be a little more than a "better engineered 'Chinese' car". Crude but reliable. But not worth the price.

Nah. The engine is as sturdy as they come. Presyo lang talaga. The Crosswind is overpriced say compare to an Adventure.

Hirap lang sa crosswind kasama na ata sa package yung instant huli ng mga smoke-belching crocs esp. along C5. Kahit brand new hinuhuli nila eh.
