Hi guys. Na-experience nyo na ba na parang may off odor (i.e., parang amoy ipis) pag binuksan ang aircon? My car is just 2 months old. Sa unang buga ng aircon lang naman aya amoy and then nawawala na after a few munutes.

Have you ever experienced this? Ano kayang okay na gawin?

    TIA!

I don't want to put car freshener naman since I want to maintain that new car scent. Bad trip lang talaga yung amoy ipis at first.

you can grin and bear it and wait for it to disappear in a few weeks... puede rin kasing galing yan sa pandikit na ginamit nila...
or, you can bring it to the fixit shop and they can look for the source.

Before ko turn off un engine and AC, set ko muna sa fan un AC para walang moisture build-up.

That's the brand new smell. Or your cabin filter has charcoal imbedded on it. Kaya yun Ang naaamoy mo

I brought my car sa casa. They just deodorized the filter. Okay naman sya but after a few weeks balik na naman yung amoy ipis. Hay! Ipa-change ko na kaya yung filter?

Minsan maasim na amoy. Sabi nila wag daw
mag spray ng perfume while inside the car.

Try putting charcoal, baking soda, or dehumidifiers inside the car overnight.

Any chance some perfume or anything similar was sprayed inside the car before that? Usually un ang cause e.

It's common among brand new cars now. It's mainly due to the condensation that's left in the evaporator coils. What I do is that I turn off the compressor with the fan still running when I'm a few minutes away from my destination. This gives the evaporator a chance to dry out.

put your vent switch to the opposite of circulate. (dalawa yan.... circulate cabin, tsaka allow external air to come in. dun ka sa external air to come in.)
put your blower direction to also allow external air to come in.... pagkatapos nung paa lang.
    turn off your compressor.
    do that everyday.
    after a week mawawala yan.

if the car is new just replace the the cabin filter. baka yan meron imbedded na charcoal...palitan mo ng regular na walang charcoal

this is true, i use to spray lysol violet to disinfect bacteria and viruses, but the after effect is a sour smell sa initial na pag turn on ng aircon... takes a long time para mawala ang amoy... after i stop spraying, the bad smell also stopped..
