    Hi guys,

I'm planning on buying a new car soon (particularly the Kia Carens) and am torn between getting the Silver one or the White one. Personally, I like the Silver color BUT the silver Carens only comes with black/grey interiors. The White Carens, on the other hand, comes with beige interiors which I find absolutely beautiful. In other words, I want a Silver Carens with beige interior - unfortunately, this combo is non-existent.

As a compromise, I was thinking of getting the Silver Carens but will install brown leather seatcovers on it. I was just wondering... if the car has a black/grey interior, would brown leather seatcovers look okay? Or would that look weird and should I just stick to black leather seatcovers?

If any of you have actually installed brown leather seat covers on your black/grey car interior, I would appreciate some pics.

imho. if the dash is black or gray, nothing can go wrong with the black or gray seatcovers.

if the dash is beige, the brown seat cover suits it fine.

Thanks for the input, bro 1D4LV!

Yup, there is definitely no question about black/grey seatcovers on black/grey dash and brown seatcovers on beige dash.... What I was hoping for some input on (and possibly some pictures of) the possibility of having brown seatcovers in a black/grey interior dash?

Wow, thanks bro MXFX! These do look good! I guess as long as I'm able to get a good set of leather seatcovers, brown seatcovers would look just as good in a black/grey car interior! Thanks again!

By the way, is the 2nd pic the interior of a Chery car? That's their logo right? Parang maganda din pala.

I hope to get more comparison pics! :D

your welcome dude. if you cant decide between light or dark, i would suggest dark brown with your black gray interior. my wife and i tried getting the brown leather for the sentra, but was hard to find.

be sure to post yours when you get it.

Is that your Sentra in the pic? If not, do you have pics of that?

the pics were from nissannews site. our sentra came with black leather since brown was very limited at a time (actually none of the dealers carry it).

here is ours with black leather seats, but with pseudo wood kit since it is too gray and plasticky:

i can look up a pre wood kit pic if you want to see it.

p.s. the second pic above is not from chery, but from infiniti (nissan's sport luxury line).

personally, i really do not like the combo, unless the dash comes with wood panel.

Whoops, my bad! I can't believe I mistook an Infiniti for a Chery.

Yup, would appreciate seeing a pre wood kit pic if possible.

Bro 1D4LV, I kinda agree with you actually. That's why I wanted to see actual pics of the color combo to see if it would be okay. Thanks again for the inputs!

here's my pre kit interior. just too plain. our older maxima with some pseudo wood trim gave me an idea. i guess you have to like the color contrast.

here's the same pic again post kit:

Black interiors or darker colors are easy to maintain. Beige leather interiors are a headache to clean ang maintain even though how hard you try to do it.

    Black interiors are also timeless.

I absolutely agree with you on this and if the Kia Carens had an all-black interior, I would not hesitate for a second. However, the black interior of the Kia Carens is actually two-toned... the top portion of the dashboard and the interior door trimmings are black while the rest of the dashboard, gear console, lower portions of the door trimmings, and carpet are primarily light grey. So, it would also get dirty easily IMHO.
