    I read this somewhere and wanted to see if it was true and if anyone has anymore readings on it.

    Every ECU does this. Part of its job is to adjust for different factors - air quantity and temperature, fuel quality, driving habits, engine load. Try resetting it by disconnecting the battery and you will notice that the vehicle will run differently.
