sir any feedback po sa mga benta na starex na galing korea.. kasi yung mga benta nila sa kapuso motors puro imoported na manual at orig lhd daw at may 6 mos. warranty pa engine nila? may nakabili na ba sa inyo dun? any feedback?

Why don't you just buy a used local unit? Kasi grabe daw lumaspag ng sasakyan ang mga Koreano. At least kung local second hand unit ang kukunin mo, pwede mo kilalanin yung seller then you get the idea kung paano ginamit yung sasakyan.

tama, and IMO ang ricey ng imported korean vans. ang daming kulang sa katawan, diba h-100 badge nyan sa korea?

kung korean surplus lang bibilhin mo, ay nakow, sa JDM-converted ka nalang..laspag talaga gumamit mga koreano!

As far as I know, parts are supposed to be the same. Although i have heard that locally released units are supposedly "tropicalized" to suit our weather conditions. Tama po ba mga sirs?

* sir litoskid, I suggest if it's not possible to get hold of a locally released unit (mas mahal po kasi yung mga local, tama po ba?) why not find a second hand "direct korea" unit that was imported brand new, in that way you could get the service history of the unit rather than being clueless otherwise

Marami din dito sa Davao. Mga Korean nationals ang may ari. As to quality, di ko pa masyadong natingnan.

Mga Sportage dami na tumatakbo dito.

parts walang pagkakaiba... standard kasi yan eh.. the question is kung original parts yung bibilhin mo.. hindi mo din kasi nasabi kung surplus ang parts mo from korea, if that's the case wag ka mag-expect na magtatagal yung piyesa mo..

i was able to make a few comparisons with the local units (HARI) and the imported (korean unit)..i have a grand starex (gold series) from HARI but its now being repaired due to a freaky incident, meanwhile they provided a service unit ( CVX model) which is imported. here are my observations..

1) static build up local = meron cvx = wala so far
2)A/T oil level dipstick local = wala cvx = meron
3) oil cooler local = not sure cvx = meron
4)seatbelt warning local = wala cvx = meron
5)auto door lock*40 kph local = wala cvx = meron
the other observations i noticed : madalas magdumi yung front wheels/mags ng local unit ko..im not sure if malambot yung disc brake pads or malambot yung disc rotor mismo..kasi yung sa cvx e hindi nangyayari yung ganun..i also noticed that parang meron nang significant wear yung rotor disc ng local compared to the cvx pero my local unit has only 7700 kms mileage whereas yung cvx has 29000 kms.. and to think that the gold series is supposed to be the top of the line model model for the local while the cvx is considered mid level..

sir ang alam ko sa imported na van galing ng korea wala nang convert kasi pareho lang na left hand drive sa korea kaya wala convert na gaya ng imported japanese car.wla ka kaba baka maputol sa pagkaconvert.sa parts standard po yan pareho lang lahat.

pinakamaganda pa rin if kuha ka ng korean van magsama ka ng nakakaintindi at ipili ka niya ng maganda kasi lam naman natin na pinaglumaan yan sa korea pili lang at roadtest at least 30 mins to 1 hour pag wla prob ok na pasado na sayo yun.

tama din po na kulang kulang na sa mga parts check niyo na lang lahat bago kunin yun iba naman kumpleto eh

Before i was able to purchase the GS.. i went to HARI balintawak, marami difference ng imported sa local.

1. 11 seater swivel seats leather narin. sa local hindi.
2. size of mags is 17". sa local 16"
3. Iba ang Head Unit ng imported. sa local parang kulang.
4. May 3rd brakelight w/d spoiler wid wiper sa imprted, sa local optional.
5. Sa imported may SUNROOF front & second row. sa local optional.

sa HARI kc bat di pa nila kinumpleto mga accesories nila, unlike sa graymarket kumpleto na. gusto pa nila pa isaisa ang kabit nila, taktics ba nila yan...
As for the imported GS, i hope maganda service nila... so far ok naman. May GS is now 6 mos.old na running 5.5k plng. maganda GS, matipid matulin at cheaper by the dozen narin.. jst my 2 cents lng

I also looked at the offerings of HARI before I finally settled on a Grand Starex CVX also from Pitstop. Pero ang pinakaayaw ko sa local is yung antenna sa bubong.

We all know better specs ang mga GS units ng mga nasa Gray market. Guys may I ask if the radiator spec is designed for our climate condition. Baka prone sa overheating if pang Korea ang spec. Also ang mga added features ng mga GS like nasa Pitstop are factory intalled or sila lang po ang nag install? Iba kasi talaga kapag factory installed. Thanks for the .

I own a gray market GS while a friend owns a local GS, I checked the radiator and pareho lang sila. Yung added features sa Pitstop units is factory installed with the exception of the side mirror signal lights.

Thanks for the reply Ron. Hope to hear from the Gray market dealer. Also I kind of wonder why external antenna still being widely adapted despite the modern Glass mount availability. I just saw the Hyundai UK website and i noticed they are also adapting the external antenna type similar to the one on HARI units. And I don't think the UK dealer is also running after additional profit. Maybe there's a purpose for the reason.
