I just got my new Sta Fe ReVGT last April however I heard disturbing sounds on the right front wheel and medyo matigas ang manibela. Normal po ba ito?

I don't think thats normal, the Santa Fe steers very lightly even though its a big car. Better consult your dealer...

if the disturbing sound is more of a thump after a road bump, chances are that the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) personnel inadvertently forgot to remove the rubber block between the rungs of the coil spring. these blocks are installed at the factory to reduce the possibility of the suspension to sag since they are subjected to the tie downs in the ship when transported. this will cause a loud thump when you hit a pothole or road bump and it causes binding in the steering

Thank you for your quick inputs, I really appreciate it. I already told the dealer about it and according to them, maybe there are some bolts and nuts that are loosened during transportation from Korea and they already tightened it and eventually told me to observe it but I can still hear the sound on the right front wheel.

Regarding the steering wheel, they told me that they need to try other new Santa Fe to find out if it’s really normal or not. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I told them that I can wait for it.

Actually, my SantaFe is in the dealer right now because of the bigger problem that arose-this is in connection with the delay on transmission response. I already noticed it on the first few days since I got the car, however, because of too much excitement and amazed of the car interior and accessories, medyo hindi ko na pinansin ang delay response ng transmission. I reported the problem 2 days after the first 1000k check-up and confirmed as per advised with the dealer’s technical supervisor during the test drive with him on both automatic and manual drive.

According to the dealer, the transmission control module (TCM) only needs a software update because they also encountered the same problem on their New Tucson. However after bringing my car to HARI this morning, they found no problem on the said TCM and I feel bad about it. SA said that they will change the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) as per advised by technician of HARI itself. I asked the SA what’s next if ever after changing the ATF and the problem would still exist, he told me to give them time until tomorrow. In this case, it seems that they don’t know what they’re doing. For me kasi, if the engine is the heart of the car the transmission is the brain and this is not a minor problem considering the car is less than a month. Changing or repairing the transmission is a big no for me dahil napahirap po niyan even if it's under warranty.

I intend not to mention this last night, bka naman kasi makuha sa pag update ng software on TCM and I don’t want to ruin the image. However, with the situation mukhang mabigat na po ito and it’s not ordinary, ang mahal po ng STA FE.

With the above situation, what do you think the best thing for me to do?

I still believe in In Hyundai’s technology and their aim to achieve the higher quality assurance.

Btw, I would like to thank the administrator and member’s of this forum. It is very helpful.

    GOD BLESS!

try asking them to replace the transmission unit or better yet since may problem pa din naman sa right side front whell e try convincing them to replace the vehicle na since very new pa ang ride mo.

    First yung suspension noise
    then delay sa tranny

I'm still hoping na maayos pa nila ang unit mo

    keep us posted lang
