Did you apply additional undercoat for your Tucson?

did you notice that the Tucson's under chassis on the middle part has no undercoat? (undercoat is color black right?)

Did you guys had your Tucson undercoated for additional protection from rust when you bought it brand new?

no, i did not apply any additional undercoat. i just see to it that the undercarriage be washed once in a while especially if going thru muddy terrain. i saw the undercarriage during 1k kms pms ang it's still brand new clean eventhough my ride was already exposed to rain/wet roads.

napapaisip kasi ako sa drilling ng ziebart e. they require drilling daw para malagyan ng undercoat yung mga hidden parts.

i wanted to be safe sana sa tucson ng gf ko para hindi mag occur yung rust lets say after 5 years or so.

any more opinions?

I had mine applied with Ziebart and rustproofing from the dealer itself. They applied rustproofing chemicals in the bottom of the Tuc plus the inside panels of the doors. Drilling? Never heard them say anything about it. As per our other cars, basta covered yung buong ilalim plus periodic underwashing oks na. And of course, I have to bring the Tuc back for its yearly check-up/rustproofing re-application.

No, the dealer itself had a Ziebart rustproofing. Opted to get it done there before my unit was released so I dont have to bring it to Ziebart separately. Pareho lang naman ang cost.

Pwede naman mag-loiter sa rustproofing area. But I had it applied before I claimed the car so there was no time for me see how its being worked on. I just inspected the car before driving it out from the dealer.
