Hyundai teases all-new 2013 Santa Fe ahead of debut
Words by Christopher Kho | Photos courtesy of Hyundai Motor America

The great minds at Hyundai can no longer contain their excitement over the Korean automaker's upcoming crossover SUV, that's why they had to publish online teaser images of their all-new 2013 Santa Fe just to keep themselves from going crazy. And after taking a good look, we're now just as giddy as they are.

Scheduled to make its world premier at the 2012 New York International Auto Show in April, the third-generation Santa Fe is the latest model to be shaped from Hyundai's “Fluidic Sculpture” design philosophy. And to prevent it from looking like the rest of its siblings, they've adopted a new design concept called “Storm Edge”, which will also be the trend for their future SUV's. But even with all their hard work, we still think it looks like a super-sized Tucson.....

^ Na-trauma na si bratski sa Accent niya.

Sobrang bad experience yun. So far 4 na nagiging Hyundai namin, wala dun ang pumalya.

    Yup, diesel lahat.

2.0L above pwede. Yung 2011 Sportage namin same engine ng Tucson 2.0 gas. Okay naman, medyo malakas lang konsumo. Hehe.

Dati engine knocking lang problema ko for almost a year (still unresolved). Aircon compressor, central locking, radio. At lahat yan walang available parts.

    Kaya ko.sinabing goodluck

For every purchase naman ng new vehicle may risk din, albeit a much smaller one compared sa second hand. Lalu na when you purchase an all new and untested model. Kadalasan may glitches pa.
I dunno if you heard about the horror stories na bagong bili tapos tumirik and walang pyesa ang hyundai casa. Tapos it will take months bago dumating ang part thus making your brand spanking new Hyundai out of commission until the part arrives.
Learned my lesson the hard way dahil nagpadala ako sa emotions ko and impulse buying the new accent kahit wala pang track record. I'm not usually like that kasi previous vehicle purchases ko nag reresearch muna ako mabuti and pagkalabas ng all new model inaantay ko muna feedback sa local market minimum of 2 years before i buy.
It will take years bago ma realize ito.
Wala naman ako kasi naging problema sa GS ko at SF (which incidentally both are diesels).so hindi ko alam na pag may nasira pala malaking problema.

Ano kaya ginawa ng Hyundai to improve Fuel efficiency? And to Address Torque steer? Hirap ng high-torque engine sa FF.

No it's not...Sante Fe Sport is Short Wheel Base version. 5 seater only
The Long Wheel Base version is the 7 seater which according TGP "known simply as the Santa Fe".

*1:05 on video when the 2nd row slides back, you can clearly see there's no 3rd row seats.

Yes it is as shown on 0:53 on the video. And the commercial is all about the Short Wheel Base Santa Fe (Santa Fe Sport) because the vehicle shown has smaller quarter windows. The Long Wheel Base Santa Fe has bigger quarter windows but was not shown in that advert. Tignan mo mabuti yung buong video lalo na yung 0:53 before you say that the Santa Fe Sport is a 5 seater
