Help! Planning to buy a 2nd Hand Hyundai Tucson CRDi 2010-2012.

balik ulit ako to ask about Hyundai Tucson as a car. gusto ko lang malaman mga common issues ng Tucson between the year mentioned in the title.


anyone who have this model can comment sana ano experience and overall maintenance.

is it a good thing paba kumuha ng Diesel Car with over 9-10 years usage na?

I have a 2010 crdi tucson GL 4x4 with 78k kms.
Extra car na namin sya for the past 2-3 years.
Super smooth & powerful engine and performance.
Very minor lang problems nya like faulty brake light switch, backdoor trigger and wiper motor. Madikit na yung panel around the stereo.
Had to replace magnetic clutch ng aircon 2x, but til now malamig ang aircon. Slightly less durable aircon ng hyundai/kia.
Solargard tint na super dark started to become purple after 4-5 years.
Long-term wise, maganda ang Tucson especially hyundai’s crdi.

Alanganin parin ang a/c ng mga korean brands until now, lalo na kung sobrang dalas gamitin yung sasakyan.

At check mo rin quality ng engine pag diesel. Baka yung gumagamit halos palagi sinasagad yung krudo, yung tipong latak na nahihigop. Hindi maganda sa makina pag ganon.

may lumabas ba na 2wd / front-wheel drive na CRDI Tucson 2010-15 model? Mas ideal kasi yung FWD at mas efficient siya sa diesel compared sa AWD models.

From a 2009 model owner, yes weakness ata talaga ng hyundai yung AC system nila.
Sa akin mahina ang lamig, found out nagbubuga na ng black oil ang compressor.
Need na daw replace AC, hindi din daw basta2 ma fix compressor since parts inside are very hard to find.
10k din damage ko for an AC compressor.
I couldn't find aftermarket parts sa AC (Goowon ang brand ng stock unit, eto lang nakita ko).

Mahina din pang ilalim (suspension system), but I think this can be remedied by buying after market parts

Other than, OK yung engine, I have no major problems.
I will definitely keep the car long term, good buy din from 2nd hand market since mura siya compare sa Jap counterpart.
Need to make sure lang na maganda pagka maintain ng first owner.
